From the first moment we were in awe of our surroundings! Among all the xcaret tours this one is definitely the best. We biked in the jungle, went down a lazy river, snorkled, slid a 140 ft high toboggan, swam in a sinkhole. I’ve never seen so many fishes and manta rays freely swimming around me even in the open ocean. The food at mexican buffet was particularly good. If you go to Riviera Maya, you MUST go to Xel-Hà !!!
Incredible experience.

If you are trying to decide on which park to choose, this one is like going to a resort to swim, lay out, eat and drink. The river float was pretty cool, but I definitely enjoyed the Xcaret and Xplor water activities much more and like that there was much more variety in those parks. We found ourselves a bit bored here and had difficulty filling up our time. We saw the dolphin exhibit and it was pretty heart breaking; we watched the dolphins trying to get out over and over again and the small area they were all confined to. It may look like an okay size from a distance, but when close you see how it is blocked off into several small sections confining them and separating them. It is definitely beautiful, but I felt like besides the river float we had similar experiences at our all inclusive resort.

I visited with my wife and 12/6 yr old children. We spent 10hrs here and ran out of time without spending any money on extras. The lazy river is the main attraction. It is a very gently flowing fiver that you float down either with a buoyancy jacket, snorkel and optional fins, or in an inflatable 1 or 2 person ring(again with buoyancy jacket). Even my 6 year old, who is only an average swimmer and still afraid, loved the lazy river. There are fish everywhere and it was so much fun. Not exactly a red sea reef but much more accessible. On the bank of the river, there are various activities to stop off eg. Cliff jumps, adventure park over the river. We arrived at 8 and borrowed bikes to cycle straight to the start of the river while it was quiet. We spent 3hrs floating down the river including stopping for an hour at the adventure park. The park provide snorkel/ mask/ fins (you keep the snorkel). We then stopped for lunch at one of the excellent all inclusive restaurants. The Mexican restaurant was great (for a Brit). After that, we explored the rest of the park which is beautiful including caves, ceynotes and bridges. Finally, we rejoined the lazy river half way down for more snorkeling, cliff jumping etc. There is a huge corkscrew waterslide which looks scary but is actually fairly slow. We forgot all about the dolphins until we were leaving so had 5 mins to see them. Even the gift shop was reasonably priced. One of the best family days out we have had and worth the apparently expensive entrance fee.
What to take.
Swimmies, reef shoes. Either eco suncream or regular. If regular suncream, they wrap it on arrival for eco cream and give you yours back when you leave. Phone water proof pouch-the pics from the river are great. Change of clothes for return journey.
Towels etc are provided.

A beautiful park with plenty to do. It’s 90 USD per person for the Xel-Ha which may sound steep but when you consider all the activities and the fact that all you can eat/drink food and beverages are included, it’s actually a pretty good deal.

The park was nice and clean but for $130 Canadian dollars (that doesn’t even include transportation) it definitely wasn’t worth the money. You’re basically floating on a rubber tube all day or snorkelling and although beautiful in spots it’s pretty murky, for the most part under the water, due to the fresh and salt water mix. The real activities are all extra. Ya the drinks and food are all included but they’re all included at your resort too. XPLOR is way better (been there twice). Haven’t been to Xcaret. Wish I could give this place a better rating but I wouldn’t recommend. They advertise caves and cenotes and they’re honestly a joke compared to others.
