Xel-ha is beautiful and very well run. The cenotes are just “ok,” but the lazy river is gorgeous and the snorkeling is amazing. Without the fear of open ocean water snorkeling, you still can achieve all of the wonder of swimming amidst vibrant, dense schools of large fish. It was an incredible first snorkeling experience for our kids when they were young, and they still love it as teens.
Food and drinks are plentiful, there is plenty of space to spread out here. We were on a tour that dropped us off at 8 am so we had to kill time before open. The restaurants do not open until 9:30 am so if you want to start with breakfast, no need to arrive as early as our tour bus did. They give you eco-friendly sunscreen and will hold your non-eco friendly bottle for you. They also sell bigger bottles of sunscreen, watershoes, water shirts, etc. The water was gorgeous and the lagoon is big and takes a while to swim and explore. My son hurt his shoulder on the zipline, and also hit bottom when jumping off the cliff. So, be aware of your own safety, the park isn’t going to babysit you! The lighthouse water slide was pretty fun, lots of stairs but a fun ride down. We didn’t need the full time at the park, by 4 pm we felt done and then we just hung around on the hammocks for two hours until our bus was leaving. But overall, we loved this park! Extremely unique and beautiful.

The greatest outdoor, do what you want, day in beautiful jungle and lagoon waterpark. Enjoyed the tubing through the jungle, the cliff jumps, the incredible wild fish and the forest waterholes to swing into. We’re going back in 2020 for another day when we are in Cancun. 2 hour trip from the barrier strip.

I’ve always wanted to go here while visiting Playa del Carmen and it was so much fun. Our tickets included lockers and all you can eat food and beverages (including alcohol). We did the river tubing, snorkeling, water slide and zip lining. There was so much more we could of done but ran out of time.
Bring reef safe sunscreen, if not they give you for free. You don’t need towels, they have them there.

Perfection!! Could spend the week there! Food was great not sure why anyone would say it isn’t! It traditional Mexican not the Americanized Crap we eat in America. Don’t question it. Go and do it without a tour!!! You can go as 2 adults with all inclusive for u see $200 US.

When you are sitting at home in your your frozen Province day dreaming about excursions for an upcoming trip this park often comes up. So grateful that I booked it.
We were staying at the Bahia Principe Tulum/Coba resort, so we just took the colectivo bus there. We got there as soon as the park opened and had no problems navigating around the park.
We decided to take the bikes up the path to the then ride down the lazy river through the mangroves on inner tubes. What a beautiful start to a day. Then snorkeling around the bay where there is a dazzling area of sea life waiting to be viewed. I had 5 rays swim underneath me…. wow!
I loved that it was all-inclusive and especially enjoyed the Mexican resturant there. The food was incredible and not what I was expecting at a park. I thought it was going to be flavorless and cheap to feed the masses, and instead, it was well seasoned, hot and very well served. One of the waiters brought us over a plate of sweet pumpkin to try and we were hesitant because it looked odd. OMG…. awesomenessness with icecream.
Then back out in the water to see things you only experience through glass in Canada. We loved going here. We appreciated every moment and made some incredible memories for the day.
