Booked online before travelling to get 25%discount, you can change the date if the weather is bad, and we got a taxi there. Highly recommend, probably best suited for ages 7 and upwards. (I am aged 54 and thoroughly enjoyed the day). Get there early to avoid queuing and make full use of the day. Snorkels, masks, lockers and towels are provided. Food is great although I recommend heading straight to the activities when you get there, as everyone else appeared to head for the breakfast buffet. We went on all the included activities once and then it was time to go. If we had more time, probably would have spent longer on the zip lines, as they were great fun. Ate in the Mexican buffet and the food was great. Only negative would be that there is nowhere to get a coffee when you arrive except the breakfast buffet, and there was no way I was standing in the queue for that.

Xel ha was a great day out. The place is beautiful, so many different things to see and do. The only down side for me was the poor food on offer.

We went on an all inclusive trip from Cancun – they pick you up at 7AM, you stay at the park all day, food and drinks are all included, and get picked up at 6PM. We arrived at about 9AM, and being there for 9 hours was way too long. I would highly recommend renting a car and having the option to leave when you are finished. It took 3 hours to get back to the hotel after – we were on a coach bus and made numerous stops to drop people off. The park is fun – there are “beaches” with lounge chairs, snorkelling, a gigantic waterslide, lazy river (which is jammed with people), zip lines and ropes course, and hammock area, so there’s lots to do. There are other experiences that cost extra; we did none of those. The food is average at best, but there are lots of choices for everyone. Not the place to be if you don’t like crowds; this place is crawling with people and there are lineups for everything.

My husband and I visited this park on our last visit to Mexico. The zip line pictures and cliff jumping pictures are misleading. The height of these activities are pretty minimal. The food and drinks were not of the quality we were used to at our resort. Line ups were pretty long. Overall I wouldn’t say this is worth it unless you are with small children.

Great not only for kids …
Not so good food, but OK
Expensive…..!
The worst was the the tiny enclosure with dolphins…
