Lots to do all day but you have to like water. Snorkeling, rafting and even a small zip line. A must go to place for us whenever we’re in this area

We loved our tour guide Carmelo! He was very friendly and knowledgeable! The unfortunate part was the long time it took to get from the ship to Xel-Ha Park. It took over an hour and half from the ship to the park and back again, leaving us with about 3 hours to eat, drink and do a couple of activities. It was very rushed. We did riving tubing, jumped off a 20 foot cliff (twice, was intimidating but exhilarating) and some snorkeling (there are good and bad spots, we were unfortunate to do the bad spots with hardly anything to view. Will know better next time, if we decide to do this excursion again). This would have been better if you had more time to seek out different things to do. Huge park and activities are spread out, so there is a fair amount of walking.

We all agreed that Xel-Há was the best water park we’ve been to and the best shore excursion of our 14 days cruise.
Although we spent the entire day there, we weren’t able to do everything, we could have spent another day or two there.
There are small zip lines, snorkeling, tubing, animals, a huge water slide which was the highlight of the day for our girls, excellent food etc. etc.
The park is so big that it takes a lot of time to get from the beach near the buffet restaurant to the point where the tubing starts, that’s sort of time-consuming. Time you need for other things..
If you are tired, you can simply relax in the hammocks or beach chairs all over the place, there’s also enough shade.
There are some activities that cost extra, but we were so busy doing all the free stuff that we didn’t bother.
We’ll be back next time we’re in Cozumel!!

This place is simply phenomenal. It is 100% worth the money.
We booked it with Tui and was picked up from our hotel at 7:30, arriving at the park at opening hours. My girlfriend and I purchased the photo experience (50% off with Tui) which we both agreed was worth it. There are loads of photographers around the park and automated cameras which activate upon the scanning of your wrist band.
Once we had booked our bag into the lockers we had breakfast which was tasty. We then each completed an activity, my girlfriend did the Snuba Senote (assisted scuba diving in the cave), she really enjoyed this and said it was a great experience. She saw many fish and the underground cave. I completed Speed Xnorkel (underwater machine thing), which I believe are new. This was brilliant and really fun. I saw many fish around the park and had great fun on the machine. The only criticism is it was around 30 minutes in the water as oppose to the 1 hour the guide said.
We then met up and went down the natural lazy river. Which again provided more photo opportunities and was absolutely beautiful. Very relaxing, seeing lots of fish and very clear water in the way down.
Once we had done this we then went snorkeling in the main body of water and went down to the beach and the caves, again beautiful and more photographers.
Also advice to men with moustache / beard. The goggles you get given for the day aren’t great if you have a moustache. They let the water sneak in so if you’re snorkeling / doing an activity you find yourself constantly taking of the goggles to get the water out. (I don’t have this problem with some goggles I own but expect this is generally a problem for all goggles and not a critism of the park).
This place truly is amazing and worth every penny. If you are going I would strongly reccomened the picture package as well. We would go again in a heartbeat.
Only critism is the Dolphins are in a small body of water which we both don’t agree with. However, we didn’t speak to staff regarding this and so cannot comment on whether they were moved to a more spacious area once the park is closed.

The moment you step on the bus, the guide address everyone as “family”. It is a park disigned for all ages. What I loved the most is the all inclusive. You don´t have to worry about paying extra for meals and drinks. Also, there is no need to pay for lockers or towels. They will provide them free of charge. They have a very large selection of food and drinks. Even better than some all inclusive hotels.
Don´t worry if you do not know how to swim since most activities do require you tu use a life vest.
I recommend to use the red or yellow lockers since those are the ones closer to one of the biggest restaurants and it is where you can get towels and the snorkel equipment.
Don´t forget to bring you biodegradable sunscreen. You can purchase them in supermarkets. We got ours in Walmart of Playa del Carmen.
I do recommend purchasing the tickets online since they offer discounts and add the transportation that they offer. They pick you at your hotel or at the closest meeting point. Remember to be on time to take the buses when you leave the park. They leave at 6:10pm sharp.
