What a wonderful place! There is something for everyone here. We snorkeled and saw hundreds and hundreds of beautiful colored fish. I even saw a stingray and a barracuda! The ropes course and zip lining into the water was fun too. Jumping off the cliff of courage is a must do. We rode bikes to the start of the river. We went tubing down the river through the mangroves. It was a little slow but relaxing. All meals and drinks are included, which is nice. there are hammocks to relax in. We climbed up the lighthouse and took the water slide down. It was a fast slide. FYI you can’t take anything up the lighthouse but there are lockers at the bottom that you can use. The view from the top is spectacular. The park wants you to use eco safe sunscreen. So if you bring yours and trade it in for the day, they will give you some eco safe sunscreen. You can pick up your sunscreen on the way out at the exit. It’s very convenient. I would highly recommend a day here. You’ll need the full day if you want to do it all.

An Amazing day! We purchased a package from Huberto on the beach by Blue Bay! It was fantastic. The day started with a training session with the Dolphins. It was unbelievable. Then we enjoyed a buffet breakfast, and took a train to the top of the river. It was my first time ever in a cenote! The water was so clear. We went down the river. Adventures awaited. Cliff jumpin, obstacle courses, ziplining!!!Xel-ha is overflowing with lovely water life, never a boring moment. Fishes, fishes and more fishes!!!
We went down the huge waterside. We enjoyed a walk thru the nursery with the MaCaws. The staff are amazing. We are all connected, as one.
Highly recommend this attraction! I will be back with my family on our next adventure to beautiful Mexico

Our family owns a waterpark in Houston, Texas called Big Rivers, so when we express that another park is amazing, we mean it! My wife and I first visited Xel-Ha as a cruise excursion 15 years ago. We thought it was amazing then and vowed to bring our kids back soon. Well, 15 years later we did, but they were different kids 14 and 11 that weren’t even born at the time of the previous vow.
This park is beautiful and has so many activities in a natural setting. There are waterslides, but snorkeling, cliff diving, ziplines, challenge courses and more were the primary activities. The views are amazing.
Our package included unlimited dining and I really tried to push the limit on that aspect of the trip. Good thing swim trunks have drawstrings and elastic. The food was plentiful and flavorful and all of the staff was amazing. For extra activities my daughter swam with dolphins and my son participated in the power snorkeling. He says the Sea Bob is his new, favorite form of transportation.
These are two typical Texan suburban teens/pre-teens that I believe think the outdoors is unsanitary. They could not get enough of snorkeling and slides. I was fascinated by the landscaping and clever props around the park. Get the picture package (unlimited) so you won’t have to carry around a camera.
We were there for one day, but it just wasn’t enough. You could easily stay intrigued with two days.

We were asked to hand in our suncream at the start of the day in exchange for biodegradable suncream however we were only given two little sachets of suncream which barely covered anything. We asked for our suncream back and they refused despite staying that it wasn’t mandatory to hand it in and instead gave us a small squirt of suncream out of one of their bottles. By the end of the day we were severely sunburnt as the suncream given to us did not give adequate protection. My boyfriend and I both have naturally tanned skin so never burn normally however we could not enjoy the activities at the park as we were trying to keep out of the sun to avoid further burning/ pain. On top of this the park had very few activities included in the price with the decent activities costing up to $65 per person and they had very limited health and safety precautions in place. Overall, the trip was not worth a penny of what we paid

The park is huge, so wear comfortable shoes or sandals. They have lockers for about 400 or more people, lockers and towels included in admission. The food and drinks are also included in admission, and the service was very efficient. The greeter had several people seating visitors at tables, and waiters brought drinks really fast. Cafeteria style with about 10 different stations, so almost no wait to serve yourself. The food was good cafeteria-style food. Pasta, chicken mole, lots of fruit, rice, beans, chips.
However, the snorkeling was disappointing. The water was not crowded, because it is spacious, but there were a lot of people in it. We saw no fish except one little barracuda. The lazy river wasn’t so lazy because the single inner tubes were not designed for (mandatory) life jackets, and were over-inflated. We kept tipping forward and to grab the handles to keep from falling out. The two person tubes seemed better. To get to the lazy river was a half hour walk if you walked fast. Or you could walk for 15 minutes to a tram that took you close. We were tired by the time we finally got there on the tram.
Also, we had to do the dolphin encounter immediately after our van arrived and we got our swimsuits on. No choice. When we saw the dolphin tank, we were shocked at how small it was, and we decided not to do it, even though it was included in our admission with the Go Card. We ended up just swimming around. We didn’t want to pay for any of the extra activities, given how lame the free ones were.
When I made the reservation, the person wouldn’t tell me when the van would return to Cancun. I kept asking, and she kept saying, ‘the driver will let you know.’ Turns out that the van was leaving at 5:30, so we took a taxi back to Cancun at 4:00 for $80 since we were exhausted and didn’t have anything else we wanted to do. Also, we had an evening tour with a 6:15 pickup that we would have missed. The van picked us up at our hotel in the Hotel zone at 7:35 AM and got to the park around 10:00. Leaving at 5:30 makes a 12 hour day by the time you get back to your hotel.
