Visited Xel Ha for the first time after seeing it advertised time and time again when we’ve been in Cancun. Definitely worth the day! I can’t imagine splitting it w another activity as were there all day and barely got to do everything we wanted to. Food at buffet was solid, staff was all super friendly. My wife and I Snuba’d for the first time and it was a blast! Eric was our guide and he was awesome!

My first time in Xel-Ha was in 2007 during our honeymoon, and we loved this park. In 2020, we returned but this time, with our children, and the park did not disappoint, it actually got way better, in terms of assistance with arrangements to bring your items back down to the river, so you can tranquilly enjoy snorkelling or the lazy river. The fact they added so many selfie photo booths, that you can use your wrist band to take photos, and do a digital download is amazing, we didn’t bring our phones or cameras out of fear, and we didn’t need them. Their medical/first aider staff are super attentive, one of my family members sustained a significant scratch while snorkelling, but they were quick to assist at the First Aid station. And there are refillable drinking fountains, and beverage concessions throughout. My kids are still talking about this place!

First of all, know that this is one park you need to make a reservation for. As this is an all inclusive and you can easily eat breakfast, lunch and an early dinner here, go early to take advantage. Lines for food and drinks get long as the day progresses. This was by far one of my favorite parks visited on the trip. You can get a locker; the earlier you get there the closer your locker is to,the exit. Must dos are the big tower slide and the river. The tower slide lines can get long and it took,us about a half hour in the afternoon to go down. The river is not so much a river but an adventure. Along the way are cliff jumping and zip lining and rope walking. We spent almost 2 hours just here. There are other activities available like dolphin swims and such that are not included in the park price. We did bicycle zip lining which was a blast. This park is for both couples and families. We were a group,of all adults and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I have been 3 times. A definite must for a first timer to Cancun/Riviera Maya. Great for families, couples, and fun seekers of all levels. Great for trying snorkeling/cliff jumping, lazy river. But still a great time for experienced “water” people. Get the photo package…well worth it.

I was looking for something for a friend and me to do that didn’t involve heavy duty swimming because I am not a swimmer. Xel-Ha seemed to be the best option. We put on life vests and got in our inner tubes and floated down a river path that opened into a wider river. Lovely day -at first You move along smoothly and then a little more exertion is required later on but it felt good just kicking your feet to paddle yourself. There’s lots of other things to do in the park but we were occupied with two rounds of tubing. The restaurant there that served buffet-style had very good options and the food was tasty. This is a nice excursion.
