We booked the Tulum/Xel-ha tour and was not disappointed. The tour guides (Hernan and Margarita) were very knowledgable and helpful. Hernan was our groups personal English speaking guide. He was more than willing to answer extra questions and even take pictures and recommend places for great couple pics. The bus ride was comfortable and air-conditioned with Wifi access which was nice. I liked how they provided a reusable water bottle in Tulum that could be refilled in Xel-ha.
In Xel-ha, the snorkeling and activities were amazing! I definitely think all day would be too much and the half day after Tulum was just right. We were able to eat great food, have some drinks, and do all of the activities with time to spare to make the bus back to the resort.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would book another tour similar to this the next time we visit.

The park was great. I showed up around 1300 and have plenty of time to snorkel the entire length of the waterway, go for a short bike ride, and inner tube the river back to the main restaurant.
Things that are normally complicated like lockers and towels we’re relatively simple, but the part was not packed to capacity.
There are plenty of helpful employees to give accurate information in English language.
Where it all falls apart is when it comes time to eat.
Let’s be clear. You are paying for the park and the fun and the adventure and the slides and the snorkeling and the unusual privilege of swimming in a river and, effectively, and ocean all in the span of 2 hours. What you’re not paying for is the food. The food is a freebee. And, like they say, you get what you pay for. This selection is sparse in the food quality is barely that of a high school cafeteria. If you’re looking for good Mexican food, skip it and find yourself a Mexican restaurant somewhere else. If you’re looking for seafood, half the ceviche, but skip the chips. The tortilla chips were as stale as wet cardboard.
And the desert was soup kitchen in quality. I recommend skipping the meal all together and you will have a much more memorable experience.
Surprisingly simple was the parking. I don’t know if I was illegally parked, there were no signs saying no parking, but I scored a parking space literally feet from the entrance.
Ask for the photo package. I’d say do not do it. put your smartphone in a little waterproof container and hang it around your neck. You’ll get all the pictures you need. By no means should you spend roughly sixty US dollars for a collection of pictures that you might not actually be in.
All in all, this is a pretty awesome place to visit. It makes simple things like snorkeling and river rafting.
As for the swimming with the dolphins, I object wholeheartedly to exposing pinned-up dolphins two humans all day long. It is cruel for the dolphins.

My husband and I spent the whole day at Xel-ha. We were able to enjoy biking, the lazy River, cliff jumping, snorkeling, zip lines, the underwater cave and If course the huge water slide. We had a blast – we do not usually enjoy snorkeling, but the calm water and life jackets made it a very enjoyable experience, along with the wide variety of colorful fish we saw!
Like others have mentioned, the all inclusive food and drink sounds nice – but the food is a bit of a disappointment. We enjoyed the breakfast but found lunch and dinner not to be very flavorful. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit juices – even more than the alcoholic drinks.
This is a wonderful place to spend a day, stress free, and full of options for everyone! We even took time to rest in the hammocks after lunch. Highly recommend this experience for couples and families looking for a fun, relaxing, and adventure filled day.

Swam with Dolphins which were in bigger pens than Xcaret but should still be released.
The cenotes and snorkelling were very good , the bike ride was good , everything was easy to find and unlike Xcaret there were no hidden charges such as towels.
The buffet was very good with plenty of variety and was actually better than our hotel food.

The most fun and organized natural park I’ve ever been to so far. I loved the sensor pics they offer in the park, the position of the camera is on spot for great shots.
