Wonderful time in nature getting active and with all drinks and food included! Great adventures and friendly service. Returned after almost 13 years and was not disappointed.

The trip started with a ride to the main transportation area. Go to the farthest point of the blue line if you want to sit in the front of the charter bus. Then it takes you to Xel Ha. During that time it’s explained in Spanish and English what to expect. If you want to book an attraction it’s better to do it at the front when you first arrive since it gets booked quickly. Do not book the sky bikes or ride their bikes. They are old and you need to back peddle to brake and the sky ride was a bit of a waste of money. We only saw bats, parrots, and people. Not so exciting at all. The river ride was pretty cool. Put your phone in waterproof bags so you can take your own pictures. If you pay for their picture package make sure you take a lot of pics.

The fast snorkel ride is cool, and they attach go-pros and although you ride for 45 min, you end up with 3 minutes of video for $40, although it costs $70 to do, video is not included.

The food is included with admission. I recommend you eat at least 3 times to get your money’s worth. In the states it would be about 10 to 20 a person for buffet. So eat up! The alcohol is also included. Not really strong though.

There are lockers wherever you go so don’t worry about locking that stuff up. At the top of the river you can get locked bags that you keep the key and they transport the bag to the bottom at the checkered station. Great idea! Wear water shoes and take the flippers on the river. It’s a sloooow river and you need the flippers or you get stuck in an Edde. Bigger guys use the double – the single is too small and my husband who is 6 foot 2, 220 pounds kept falling off.

The ride home was tailored to where we are staying. They give you a sticker on your bracelet when you arrive but that quickly comes off your band. So ask the guy at the end and they’ll tell you which bus to take.

The lockers were clean and they don’t have indoor showers just outdoor. The toilets smelled really bad though. Try and go to a bathroom our in the park instead. They give you a key that you can wear around your neck. If you lose it, it’s $20. For the river ride they write the bag number on your bracelet with a sharpie. So that doesn’t rub off in case you lose your key.

Go there wearing your swim outfits. It’s so much easier then changing once you get there. Bring a change of clothes, shoes and socks. You don’t need to bring snacks, towels or water. Bring sunscreen and bug spray during buggy season. Off! has a nice organic based spray. Don’t use DEET. They have hand sanitizer everywhere.

They take credit card for stuff but bring cash to tip the driver.

Good luck, have fun and pay for something that you’d never do back home. That kind of stuff is worth it.

    Good luck

Very good day out, loads to see and do with two young children 7 and 5. We paid extra for the dolphin and stingray experience. Unfortunately we ran out of time to go on the water slides which close before the park at 5pm. All inclusive food and drinks were good. There are two negatives and opportunities for improvement and one serious complaint.
One whilst paying for the extras I couldn’t pay in dollars only pesos which didn’t make sense as we could in the store. I wanted to use a pre paid travel money card but couldn’t so had to use Apple Pay so I expect to be stung on the exchange.

On the transportation I was requested to wear a face covering which I declined for medical reasons, Isabell said I’d have to sign a form which I did, she then rang her boss an insisted I wear one or I would be refused entry to the park. I tried to explain why request, then ask for a form and then threaten with the removing service.

When leaving the bus I was greeted by Michelle the boss who was extremely rude and would listen to my view and told me I didn’t understand that it’s a pandemic. She then told me it’s her boss who makes the rules. I told her that unless we stand up for our freedoms and stop these rules then tourism will continue to suffer.

It’s ridiculous to insist on face coverings which don’t work, in the park it’s also ridiculous and as the day went on less and less people were wearing them. I guess Ovid goes away after lunch.

What is more ridiculous is that I didn’t have to wear a mask on my return transfer due to the distinct lack of a Karen!

Wake up and start putting customers first.

The lazy river was our favourite part of Xel-Ha! I recommend taking it twice…we snorkelled the first time around and then later in the day when we were tired out a bit we took the floaties for a nice relaxing ride at the end of the jungle walk.

    SO SO GOOD!!
if you’re thinking about doing this and enjoy swimming, snorkelling, zip lines, big slides and beautiful scenery you should definitely book this.

We did the dolphins and park. This included our bus ride and all food and drink.
The dolphin part was great. It’s been on my bucket list since I was small and chose this park specifically due to the accreditation’s Delphinus has to do with animal welfare and treatment. The dolphins seem very happy and are just like puppy’s, willing to do tricks for treats. I will say however, the dolphin experience seemed very commercialised. All of it was done for the purpose of photos which we weren’t bothered about, I went for the experience. After, when we said we didn’t want photos a lady came rushing out to offer us discount – we ended up saying yes to 2 digital photos for $10 instead of $200 for the whole lot (albeit printed etc). So my advice would be to say no until they offer the price you’re willing to pay!

Dolphins were the cherry on the cake, there was so much to do in Xel ha so if you don’t do dolphins don’t feel you’ve missed out. The snorkelling in caves and the mini cenotes were a personal fave, but the absolute best part was the snorkel river with the mangroves next to the tubing. This was honestly incredible, crystal waters, but no fish.

The best spot for snorkelling is definitely under the big tap or next to any of the rocks in the middle of the water.

I would recommend this to all my friends visiting Mexico. Food, drink and towels are included.

The only negative I would say is we wanted more time, we felt a little rushed. This was because we were on the other side of the park when it was lunch time so we had to walk back to eat then walk back again to where we’d last been. Maybe a restaurant on the other side of the park would be good for this.
