My wife and I chose Mexico as our honeymoon destination.
We aren’t usually theme-park type people but, as friends of ours recommended it, and it had a nature theme, we decided to give it a go.

The park itself is quite beautiful. Floating through the mangroves, along the river, jumping off when we saw something we fancied trying (zip lines, assault courses, climbing/ jumping wall etc) and then taking to snorkelling, looking at the fish and a few rays we were lucky enough to spot… It was all very pleasant.

On land there are restaurants (our ticket included food so we enjoyed a buffet style breakfast and, later on, a buffet style lunch too. As vegetarians we were pleased with what they had available for us to try) which get very busy so earlier for the whole park in general is better.
There is also a couple of shops, a spa thing, pretty paths and garden or beach areas with seats, recliners or hammocks.

To be honest, we had a fun day there but it depends what you go to a place for. We didn’t do any of the additional pay for experiences- they are incredibly expensive, as are photographs. (We also don’t approve of cetaceans in captivity)

As for the fish, my wife and I disagreed. I thought there were quite a few fish but she was disappointed there weren’t more. (She’s been on the Great Barrier Reef though so, it’s all about comparisons. For me who is new to marine activities, I was happy with the amount we saw)

The zip line bits, climbing ropes etc, they were ok but we had just tried the Xenote Oasis Maya tour which is so much better if that’s what you’re into. So again, depends what you compare things to.

As far as it goes, this is a nice day out and safe for family fun. (Though be generous with sun cream application but make it reef safe sun cream please, there are still some fish etc trying to live in the water there!)
The food was good, can’t comment on the added extras.

This was the highlight of our trip. It was very busy as it was Easter weekend but we had an amazing time, food and drinks were good the experience in its self was unforgettable. Do the Sea Trek…….WORTH EVERY PENNY.

I was more than excited to go here with the family. However I walked away feeling like I wasted money on nothing. The dolphins were sad first of all. We saw 8 dolphins in one small pool and 3-5 in the others.

Yes everything is included but not really, so many activities cost money, you pay to include food and drinks, but there are so many people that the wait to get a drink is 20+ minutes and food took 45 minutes to get in. They dont have nearly enough chairs or eating are for the amount if people they let in. We felt like this was a money making factory and were very disappointed.

First, when we arrived, it was very confusing as to what you are supposed to do. How you get a locker, how to you get your fins and masks, and how to ever get a towel. There are stations all around the park that are color coded, but nobody explains anything about each station. We had to ask a lot of people for information before we figured it out. So, after almost 1.5 hours of getting ourselves ready to go into the river and after walking about 2 miles to get there, we finally enter the river expecting to see a ton of beautiful exotic fish…..nothing….not one single fish as we went down the mirky river with thousands of floating and snorkeling people. Later, after walking another couple of miles, we finally found a secluded inlet where we were able to do some great snorkeling. I am sure this is a fun park for kids, but don’t bother is you are an adult looking for good snorkeling. And, did I forget to tell you that I got tummy troubles from the food. All in all, we rented a car, drove an hour and a half (almost 2.5 hours from Cancun) from Rivera Maya to float down a river packed like sardines without any fish (no pun intended).

Came here with my 13 and 16 year old boys. We came at 9:00 – I recommend coming even earlier if you can get your teenagers out of bed – and stayed until 5:30. We packed in as much as we could:
Snorkeling – amazing variety of tropical fish to see, plus stingrays – snorkel gear and lifejackets (required) are provided and easy to access in a few different areas of the park. The lighthouse slide – I usually get a little queasy on these kinds of slides, but not this one. The view at the top is fantastic and is worth the climb. We only had to wait for 10 minutes, which was great. I don’t think it’s worth waiting for more than 30 minutes though. (Wait time is marked as you climb the stairs). The river float – crowded as can be, but still fun. There are jumping opportunities along the way that my 13 year old took full advantage of. Obstacle course was fun. Dining: for a buffet – the options here were surprisingly good. I have one kid with allergies and there were plenty of options for him to eat. Employees – every single one we interacted with was warm, welcoming and were some of the nicest locals we met on our trip. If you can only do one thing during your stay, do this
