Hola
So this park is much smaller than Xcaret but it delivers big on what I will call balanced fun.
Because you can just sit and relax be it in the giant natural lazy river which you can choose to use a half tube half chair to cruise on down in or you can get fins and mask and snorkel your way down or just get in the water to cool down and float your way down, you can hop on a bicycle and explore the trail or go into their meditation forest. Or if you crave action you can take a ride down their GIGANTIC water slide or zip line down to the water or take on their ropes courses or dive from a cliff
All equipment is provided free of charge.
Because it is smaller you can slow down your pace and still enjoy everything in one day even if you choose to upgrade your ticket to include a dolphin swim.
But even if you stick to the free activities only it is still a fun filled day.
TIPS:
– When looking at the map all activities with the green icon on the top of the picture circle are FREE all of the ones with the green icons on the bottom are at an extra cost
–Xcaret Hotel Guests– on the bus ride over they will give you a sticker that will give you bundle discounts on the paid activities so pay close attention when they cover that information on the ride to the park
– Like all or their parks only biodegradable sunblock is allowed and bring your water shoes and a dry change of clothes
– Start with the river as it can hold a lot of people and you have some of the activities right at the edge of the river so you can hit them on your way down saving you the need to get out at the end of the river and walking back up.
– Water slide, if you want to do the slide and you started with the river, by this time you will be hungry so grab lunch, chill for a bit to digest and then hit the slide as the lines should be shorter by then. It is a lot of steps to get to the top, there are 4 lanes 2 blue which are more easy going and 2 white which are more on the speedy side so choose wisely
– Paid upgrades, if you’re planning on adding any of the paid activities book them when you first arrive so that you can plan your day accordingly and to avoid them being sold out for the day if you try to book later
Have Fun 🙂

We had a nice time, but Xplor was far and away better. With the exception of the extras which are not included (and no booze), you can do many of the activities at Xplor in a better environment. There is a LOT of time in the sun at Xel-ha that cannot be avoided. Even with three applications of sunblock we still burned. The white slide was very abrupt at the end and not worth the climb. Staying at Hotel Xcaret we had to wait until 6pm to leave, while you can leave anytime from most of the other parks. If you are staying at the hotel, I would not prioritize this park. We did really like SeaTrek, which was not very expensive compared to what you would pay for a cruise excursion. The restaurants were fine for buffets, and they do have wait staff to bring alcoholic beverages.

Both excursions very good. Had enough time in Tulum to visit and learn, but not enough time at Xel-ha to enjoy. Needed whole day at waterpark. Too much to do and not enough time. That said, our guide, Sylvester was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and took care of us from beginning to end. The food at the water park was delicious with a good variety. Both sites highly recommended.

I thought this was kinda expensive for just snorkeling but def worth it! A huge area to explore and snorkel! Unlimited food and drink! Bring you’re own sun block thou and mask! Sunblock Must be biodegradable. Great for couples or families! Lots of fun! You’ll be exhausted when the days over. Plan a rest day after!

Food was great, so many places in the park to eat & drink. Giant slide was super fun with beautiful views on top. Snorkeling was nice in the cool waters. Everything included; they think of everything. Seeing dolphins from the pathways was amazing. We didn’t pay the extra to swim in that area but it was great to witness others. Free parking! Clean, well organized. Buy your tickets online to save 10% on Trip Advisor. Then just bring the tix on your phone. Lockers, showers, bathrooms are bountiful and included. All staff were super friendly! With the seaweed making such a smelly mess on all the beaches, this was a clean, fresh, welcome reprieve! Must do this—worth every penny! (About $90 per person but for a whole day of fun, it’s great.)
