So much stuff to do and see. Great for the whole family! Plan to spend the whole day. We did and still did not get to see and do everything. There are several add ones you can buy. I highly recommend the zip bike and snuba. And take advantage of the pictures they take of you throughout the part. The water slide is a must, but do it first thing when you get there as the lines will be long. We went before July 15th, which is their holiday week and while it was crowded you did not notice or wait. After the 15th there are thousands more people there so will be lines for everything. The food and drinks are good. It is all inclusive so take advantage!

We only had a partial day to spend at Xel-Ha, but we’re so glad we did. I was worried that we wouldn’t get our full value, as we had to leave by 1pm to catch a flight, but it was well worth it.
If I went again: Buy your own chemical free sunscreen. There’s lots of shady parts of the park, but there’s a lot of sun. You’ll want to do a full coverage application – but you need to use the right kind to protect the environment and abide by their rules. Buy your own and apply.
Stash your stuff in a locker and head to the water slide. You don’t need much. Wear your flip flops and nothing else. Stash shoes in the locker at the base of the slide. After slide – grab shoes and head to the breakfast buffet. From there, put your shoes away and make your way up to the top of the lazy river. On the river, you can stop at tons of places – pull off for cliff jumping. Stop for ziplining (repeat this many times!) and continue on down the river.
Grab a drink and your shoes. Walk the perimeter of the park (across the floating bridge etc). you’ll come to the cliff & zipline again) but you’ll also find a rope swing and other cool features tucked around. There’s lifejackets at every attraction, so you don’t need to carry them. pause, jacket, do it and move along.
Have lunch!
Snorkel if you want (I’m not a fan of it), relax in the hammocks. Kids on the playground. Repeat your favorite things. Observe (without the $$ to participate) the dolphins, manatee, stingrays.
Have a blast you’ll never forget.

It was so great to snorkel and float though the mangroves. The mangroves are so beautiful and something you really want to see in Playa! The Mexican food at Xel Ha was incredible. Very flavorful and different from what you eat at the all inclusives. There is plenty to do from cliff jumping to swimming with dolphins. Definitely a full day excursion,, however we pared it with a trip to Tulem and had plenty of time for both!

Xel-Ha was an amazing establishment!! There is way more to do than anyone could do in a day!!! Just leisurely snorkeling around their lagoon to swimming with the Dolphins. The amount of different events going on there is endless really. The height of my vacation was getting to swim with the dolphins. Well you don’t really swim with them so much as have them interact with you while you float around them!! That was an extra cost as was the photos if you wanted them. A little pricey but a once in a lifetime experience. It is “Mostly” all inclusive as it’s all you can eat and drink all day!! I would absolutely visit Xel-Ha again so I could finish viewing the stuff I didn’t get to see last time!!

We had a great time and would highly recommend it!
It is beautiful park to walk around in the trees and have a cycle up to the start of the river. You can then get a inner tube down the not so lazy river. The current is not very strong so you need to do loads of paddling and the river is long so we gave up in the end and swam back! Take care getting in the donuts as my flipped and went face first in the river much to everyone’s amusement!
Lots of fish if you like snorkelling, we did the Sea Trek which was great fun!
There aren’t too many shady areas, so we spent around 5 hours here then went back to the hotel which was ample time to enjoy everything we wanted to do.
It is an expensive day out especially if you do activities and then want the photos as you have to buy the photo package but worth it.
