We visited with our two boys 14 & 8- if you like water I would thoroughly recommend. There was enough to keep us occupied all day- with the rings, zip wires, cliff jumping and snorkelling .
There are activities you can pay an additional charge for but we didn’t do these.
We did purchase the photo package which worked out £85 – we got 159 photos in total !
The food is plentiful- we visited the main area for breakfast and then the grill for lunch- they have fab ribs here and the kids loved the steak and the burgers.
We visited the fast food area for a snack late afternoon- this was good to enjoy in the shade.
We didn’t need to take towels as you just go and get one as you need it.
We cycled up to the top of the river- do it if you can, it’s a lovey breeze and a chance to see some of the wildlife- plus you beat the queues for the bus to get there.
If you can take reef friendly suncream- it is available there but is about £15. They also have insect repellent that’s wildlife friendly too.
Everything is amazingly clean and tidy. There a play areas for the little ones- though it’s hot!! So we didn’t take advantage- we just wanted to be in the water.
You have to wear a life jacket and these are provided in all sizes.
You get snorkels, mask – return the mask and you get to keep the snorkel.

I wanted so much to go to this park, based on the videos o watched online. But I was a little disappointed, it’s not as fun for adults as it is for kids. For adults Xcaret is way better, the good thing about Xel-ha is that food and drinks are all included through the day, but for me wasn’t worth. When you see that huge water slider you think how insane it is, but you go down so slow that it’s even boring the only part that has speed is at the end, when it goes straight down to the pool. I do recommend it for family with kids.

This place is incredible. We travelled around mexico for 2 weeks and this was one of our highlights. It’s not cheap but in my opinion worth the money. We were here from 9am till 6pm and could have stayed longer. Everything was great. Lazy river, cliff jumps, zip line, snorkling in clear water, food and drink, service. We paid extra to swim with manatees and again not cheap but if you love them it’s worth it. All in all a expensive day but very very enjoyable.

An excellent day out from start to finish. So much to see and do.
Snorkeling with beautiful fish, zip wires, cliff jumping, underwater walking, cycling, tubing, water slides plus more.
Delicious food and drink, with space to relax if you need to.
Great little shops.
Take beach/water shoes to protect your feet. Towels are provided, as are lockers and waterproof bags.
We are a party of 2 adults and 3 children aged 16, 12 and 5 and they all loved it.

What an amazing place! Compared to other Xcaret parks, it was less crowded and more relaxed. As excursions go, it was reasonably priced and worth the money; there are a wide range of activities to do included in the price as well as some additionally priced ones.
We spent the majority of the day snorkeling and happened across loads of interesting fish and some sting rays. We also did the lazy river, fair warning it gets packed and takes about an hour and a half to complete it but it is good fun and gives you easy access to the climbing activities.
Well worth a visit!
