I went to Xelha last year with a friend when in Mexico, I loved it so much I took my family this year with a couple of friends.
I did way more stuff this year, cliff jumping, the zip bike and the water slide.
Both times I’ve been I’ve started with the buffet breakfast and then a little float down the lazy river on an inflatable, they have doubles or singles – I learnt how hard it was last year to do the doubles so opted for a single one this time.
Once in the open water we decided to jump from one of the cliffs, somehow as I hit the water I managed to cut my eyebrow with my own nail and I looked a bit like scar from the lion king but other than that it was fun, a little bit scary too but I’d scanned my band for the photo and the worker counted to tres so I just went for the jump and did it to capture my picture.
I did some zip lines after the jump, something a little less daring but still just as fun, I did the one you can sit down on as I don’t think I’d have had the grip for the other one to hang on to 😂 we decided to get the photo package so I made sure I got pictures whenever there was a photo op or photographer around which there was for one of the zip lines. After the zip lines we tried to do the little assault course bit which was actually quite hard so I gave up and let myself fall into the water.
We then had lunch, I quite liked the food there, they had chicken wings, burgers, pizza, fajitas and all sorts! Lots of choice. Also the mango margaritas are so nice to drink, as everything is all inclusive food and drinks wise I thought why not have a few!
Before we entered the park we booked to do the zip bikes, they’re harder than they look! I didn’t think they’d be that difficult but it was tough, personally I think this could be a free activity as it doesn’t last super long but I still enjoyed it, gave me a bit of a workout after lunch haha.
Once we’d done the zipbike we just walked around a little to explore, walked over the floating bridge which makes you feel like you’re drunk and can’t walk straight, then we went to the water slide. I decided to do the slower slide, which was actually pretty slow it felt never ending but two of my friends did the fast one and said they felt like they went so fast they didn’t even realise when they’d come out of the slide at the end! After this we just did a bit of snorkelling in the main water part, last time I came I don’t remember seeing that many fish but this time I saw a lot more fish whilst snorkelling around so that was good.
All in all, I had a good day and xelha is one of my favourite Xcaret parks and I could come back again and again. My family and friends enjoyed it too, luckily we had a nice sunny day for it, we also got some of the special suncream they say you should use to help protect the fish etc but I don’t think they’re really that strict about it as I saw other people using normal suncream. Towels are included at xelha too so you don’t even have to pack a towel to take with you.

This was a great choice when traveling with adventurous teenagers. We were able to experience the Mexican jungle through the exhilarating Zip-Bike adventure. Rode over a cenote, lush jungle and even a bat cave…it was a workout, but oh so worth it. Then we submerged into the river on the Sea Trek adventure where we were able to experience scuba diving without the lessons. It’s was amazing. The river water is great for snorkeling and the zip line and obstacle course kept my adventurous 13 year old occupied ALL DAY!

Thus place is truly breathtaking! There is so much to see and do and it is an all inclusive park with lovely restaurants to eat at. However, the snorkeling is second to none. With all the equipment provided you can see so much. It is simply fantastic! A must see!

I always love Xel-HA! They have added many new attractions over the years. Park looks amazing! Lazy river is a delight with many stops you can take along the way. Enjoy watching the wildlife during the float. Not to mention the daredevils who jump the cliffs! Loads of fish and saw a couple of stingrays.
Did the jetboat excursion and it was thrilling! Food & drinks are fantastic. I recommend going a full day in order to enjoy all they offer.

I love to snorkel and when in Playa del Carmen my wife found this place I did not imagine it being sooooooo big! We snorkeled for 3 hours and only saw half of the river!! We saw so many different fish, an albino manta ray, giant pelican fish, a large french angelfish. I am so glad we went there. Ronaldo from Customer Service was very knowledgeable about the fish we were seeing.
I jumped off of a 12 foot cliff into the water with a man from England named Richard, who does not like tea, lol.
The food was good. Plenty of places to relax in the shade.
There are plenty of other activities for children of all ages.
