The lazy river ride was fun…the water slide was truly terrifying but also great fun. The food (depending on your taste) was of a decent standard and there was a great variety of dishes. The kids in particular really enjoyed their day.

This is our 5th time coming out here and it’s still our favorite park. It’s about a 2 hour drive from Cancun Hoteleria area. We rent a car from the airport for about $200 US for the week full coverage. Our day starts at 6am to head to Tulum Ruins by 8am then, Xal-ha around 9:3am. The price of the entrance is $95 US. A waterproof wristband will be placed on your right wrist. With this wristband, you will have access to your own locker, showers with soap dispensers, towels, snorkeling gear, adult beverages, all you can eat from multiple buffets, selfie spots and the ginormous slide. For additional fees, you’ll have more options. You’ll want to bring an extra change of clothing for the ride back to your hotel and a plastic bag for your wet clothes. Buy 2 floating cellphone projectors, I for cellphone and 1 for your sunglasses for when you’re snorkeling and water shoes to walk in. The buffets close at 5pm sharp, so plan your meal ahead of time. If you have been curious about a cenote, this place has 2 you can visit with no additional fee and a water cave… We really enjoy this park and look forward to coming back next year.
I hope this helps!

This is my 2nd time and we still didn’t see the entire park. The inner tubing was a lot of fun, Jumped off the cliff and went down the slide. The slide has 2 sides the slow and fast. The fast side was surprisingly faster than I had anticipated. The food was excellent.

I should preface this review. This visit was my third to Xel-Ha. I love Xel-Ha.
The company who runs the buses / tours to Xel-Ha (Grupo XCaret I believe?) is incredible. So efficient. Their buses are big, comfy, and come with WiFi. The staff are always excited and fun to be around. I have yet to see a single staff member that wasn’t at least trilingual.
The park itself is all inclusive. The buffet has a variety of tasty options. The drinks are included as well, although I did not partake in alcohol while there, I could have. Fountain drinks and water are easily accessible.
Snorkeling is a lot of fun at Xel-Ha, and the lazy river is our favourite (we did it twice this visit). It’s a beautiful spot, and it’s a really fun, active day. We borrowed bicycles, we walked SO much (there is a trolley available but we prefer the activity, especially after being couped up on a resort all week), we swam around, and we relaxed in hammocks. There is a lot of interesting wildlife on the park and several unique ecosystems.
The staff are friendly and generally just let you do whatever it is you would like.
I love Xel-Ha, and make it a point to go as often as possible. Don’t forget your reef friendly sunscreen, and SPF shirt (although plenty for sale on site if you need).

Visited here with my 10 year old son. I was unsure what to expect but it totally exceeded any expectations I had. What a fantastic place.
This is no normal water park. It is on the coast, a natural sea inlet with many activities- snorkelling swimming in cenotes, underground rivers and caves. A great river through mangrove swamps which you go in on floats which is pretty spectacular.
Zip lines, jumping off cliffs, swimming with dolphins , rope swinging, plenty of wildlife to see with iguanas everywhere and manatees. An amazing lighthouse with 4 waterslides is perfect for children and adventurous adults. A floating bridge which is pretty scary but great fun .
Plus free food and drink all day. Finished off with one of the best massages I’ve had in the spa. One if the best days out we’ve had and almost worth the trip to Mexico from the UK just to spend time at this great place 😀
