This place is magnificent. From the cave swimming to the great shows we saw, I didn’t know much about Xcaret other than people saying it would take all day to check it out. So glad I went and our family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Short review: My root canal was faster and cost less money.
Long review: The check in was disorganized chaos. There were multiple places to rent lockers, and we got into the wrong line, and we weren’t the only ones. With the tour company and check in mess, it took us 3 hours from boarding the bus until we could enjoy the park. We tried the underground river, but came out as far from our locker as possible, leaving us with the only options to walk through the rest of the day with wet clothes, or trek through the park to dry off. Next we tried to get lunch at a buffet we paid for as part of the package. We were a bit pressed for time to make a swimming with sharks experience and figured nobody could mess up a buffet. We were wrong again. I’m not sure what was going on, but we didn’t wait to find out. We ended up buying sandwiches that were really good and reasonably priced. The boys enjoyed swimming with sharks, but for $60 US, I hope so. After this, we couldn’t wait to leave. This might seem sarcastic, but the poor weather was actually a good thing, it kept the heat and humidity down.

Everything it’s wonderful, I love the underground river , the food, the shows 🥰💕👏👏👏swimming in the caleta , snorkeling and my favorite part was , Everything!! You can’t miss this Fun !! Come enjoy and transport yourself to a wonderful experience 😀

First time in Playa del Carmen, Xcaret park is a wonderful park to spend all day doing a lot of activities. Swimming with the dolphins was an amazing experience! Love the park!!

By far the worst experience! The park is beautiful however there were 2 horrible experiences:
The buffet at La península ran out of food and took over 30 minutes to be replenished. Even the waiter mentioned that they had a new chef and to put the complaint! It was busy and they were not prepared for all the people. Food options were minimum and even though they promise you an awesome view to the dolphins you can’t see anything. I tried some cold rice, the arrachera meat was chewy and the desserts options were very little and without flavor! Without mentioning that also the fish options were flavorless. Just horrible! Avoid this venue if you want to have a good meal! In addition that the view is not good at all. There are better options for your meal!
Then they had the show 2 times at 6pm
And 7:40pm, therefore they cut the show short for 30 minutes. A show that usually is spectacular 2 hours of fun, it was only 1.5 hours missing some key dances from certain regions. And also the logistics for accessing the show in the second seating was terrible making very long cues!
Not recommended at all! When I asked if this was because of the season, the staff lied saying it was like that since January, which it is not true as a month ago I was at the park and they only had one seating for the show and they did the full 2 hours show.
Horrible experience! And even though there was plenty of staff, they seemed stressed and not prepared nor friendly as usual!
