These hotels and parks are some of the best places I have been in my hole life, the experiences you have at the parks are incredible and the hospitalisation you get from the staff is out of this world, obviously everything can improve, the only thing I eecommend if you visit this place and you are getting more than one room, for example a family of five where the parents go in one room and the kids in another, if this is your case, when you take fotos around the park (you will be given a braselate per person and will be able to scan it and the park will take pictures for you) only scan with one bracelate or the beacelates from the same room, because if you scan every bracelate, unless you buy each room the foto package, you will pay double, so if you scan only the bracelates from one room you will only have to pay for the package of one room, not both

First of all when you purchase your tickets, those are only for the enterance to the park, food and drinks and few lousy attractions (short zip lining into the water) snorkeling, lazy river and few more. You are required to buy attraction tickets at the door for the fun stuff. Like underwater fish viewing, power snorkel, (cool suff) swim with dolphins etc. Now we arrived at 9:30 am and were told that most of the attractions (cool ones are sold out) Now we had kids ranging 7-10 years old. The guy at the booth sold us tickets for underwater walk with viewing the fish and said no problem for the kids to do it. Mind you these are $70 per person tickets…………upon arrival at our attraction we right away found out that the kids are too small for this underwater attraction . Of course no refunds or exchanges allowed …………this is Mexico folks. Nevertheless we only got to do the zip line tour on a bike which was pretty boring at its best. Everything else sold out. They sold us a photo package for $150 more…………where you are supposed to scan your wristband and get those photos while sliding etc……………..received 30 photos we scanned at least 100-150 times (2 families total of 9 ) everyone was scanning. I already emailed them complaining that there are lots more photos we did not get………….still waiting for a reply. Mind you when you scan you get a yellow light meaning it worked and your photo will be taken. I guess not in that park . Anyway dont waste money stay at your resort …………its a rip off.

We visited Xcaret as a family of 9 including a 3 year old. What an amazing family day out!
We would have timed all our activities better had we visited before. We got picked up from our hotel at 9.30am, Xcaret was about 20 minute drive away. When we arrived, the tour guide takes you straight to the door. The package we bought included rental of a locker.
Highly recommend doing all the water activities first like the lazy River and the natural pools. That way you are dry for the show!
The lazy river is amazing, a man made river that runs throughout the park (no wildlife are in the river) There are 5 exits so you can get out wherever you want. I would recommend putting dry clothes, valuables and shoes in a security bag you are given at check in, because the last exit is about 20 minutes away from the lockers. Your bag is then taken to the end of the river to meet you. Everyone must wear a life jacket in the river, which you are given at check in. The water is cold initially, but you get used to it! There are also lifeguards floating around throughout.
The natural pools are at the beach front, there is a bar/cafe and a restaurant nearby. There are fish/eels in the pools as its where the sea meets the pools.
There are 5 restaurants, which are all buffet and serve the same food so you don’t have to chose. The food is great, and there is a huge selection. Queues can be big but go down quickly as the staff are so quick.
The animals are scattered through the park, so plan which ones you want to see. The butterfly House and aviary are amazing, and are close to a small shopping area with local handmade items being sold.
The show is amazing, taking you through the history of Mexico with dancers and actors. We didn’t buy the dinner show option, but we got great seats.
You are not allowed to take sun screen or bug repellent (unless they are biodegradable) so clart it on before you go! We did come home with loads of bites, but I think it’s due to the ‘forest’ type atmosphere and the heat.

A MUST if you are visiting Cancun or surrounding area! We had a blast with Snuba 21+ feet down into the Caribbean. The night show was fabulous!
