The best in the world! The rips are to die for and will leave you wanting for more. There is no other place that will give you as many memories as Xcaret does

No one wore masks on the way back to the hotel in the Xcaret shuttle.

There is a high chance you’ll be stuck on a 2 hour bus (there is traffic and construction) ride filled with people not wearing masks. Putting mask politics aside, you need a negative COVID test to return home to your country most likely.

Ask yourself… Is it worth it to be stuck on a long ride on a bus packed with strangers not wearing masks? In a humid environment where the bus is filled with international travelers? A positive COVID test means 10 day quarantine in Cancun….

Otherwise the Xcaret Park feels very similar to San Diego Zoo/Safari in California. It is a nice nature exhibit, but I’m not sure if it is definitely worth the effort to leave the resort area. On principle it is nice to support the environment, but it does feel like a tourist trap as some mentioned here.

The aviary is the best part of this park. Food buffett was mediocre at best and nothing different from what you eat at the resort.

Though, I’m not sure if the cost is worth it just to see the aviary. I didn’t stay for the show as I went during raining season, and it was pouring. Please check the weather before you go. The tour guide state this place would be enjoyable with rain also. But I disagree, because the butterfly and majority of animals hide if there is a downpour.

This was our third time visiting Xcaret (our first with our ten-year-old) and it was as amazing as I remember it. The main reason we traveled to the Riviera Maya was to visit Xcaret and it didn’t disappoint. We did the Xcaret Plus (highly recommend) and we gave ourselves enough time (approximately 12-6 pm) to do the river twice (my favorite part!) The first time we did the Manatee river and then, after lunch, we did the Maya. My husband wishes he had brought a swim shirt for under the life vest as the vest chafed him after a few hours. We loved our buffet lunch at the Laguna (came with the Plus admission) and the Cadillac Margaritas were delicious! We sat by the jungle so we could watch the coatis in the trees. We didn’t get a chance to see much of the rest of the park except walking to/from the rivers but we will definitely be back!!

My daughter bought tickets online and when she got to the park, they told her they were not valid (even thought they were purchased on their website). She paid to swim with sharks and then was told there was no availibility. She said the rest of the park was boring.
