We traveled from JW Marriott to Xcaret today. It took about an hour drive and I’d pretty much a straight shot. When you get to this paradise in Cancun, you feel like you are driving in a jungle safari . Everything is so green and the little animals walk along side to road. The temperature outside dropped about 10 degrees presumably because of all the trees. Ok ok, let’s get to the park part!

We were a family of 4 with the Xcaret plus package. I highly recommend it because of the following day we had:

We started the day with the underground water ways that begins at a Xenote( probably spelled that wrong) . You get a locker to store your stuff in the “ Xcaret plus” zone and a dry bag to lock up your other stuff that goes with you throughout the day. Back to the water – so you float down this beautiful water as far as you want with the included life vest might I add. There are exits along the way if you want to get out and explore( we did). We exited and walked to an aviary and other cool little land attractions of the park. I know you want to know exactly where we went so you can copy us, but I suggest you be your own pathfinder and explorer!

The plus bracelet comes with lunch and after floating( partly swimming to keep yourself moving forward FYI-workout mode) and hiking, we were starving. We were recommended by one of the park employees to visit this restaurant by the horse show stadium. Man oh man! It’s a Buffett to start and anything Mexican food you could every want ( tacos, Chile rellano, sopes, and other Mexican cuisine that I will misspell) , just go.

We explored more and did a fish foot pedicure, yes for $20 a person those crazy tiny fish will nibble at all the dead skin you forgot you had because of the pandemic. We concluded this awesome day with the 7pm show at the front of the park the is mind blowing. It covers Mexican culture in a live performance you must go and see, straight up amazing. We left Xcaret at 930 pm so be aware it’s a full day!

If you want to have an adventure of a lifetime, this is the place to start! Sea Trek, Adrenalina, the river exploration, and Birdflight were the highlights of our family vacation. We visited XCARET, XPLORE, and XENSES. The park and drone picture packages were worth the money. I look forward to taking the ancient ruin tour on the next trip.

My experience was terrible because I never got to experience it! I paid $400 for 4 passes that included transportation. When I arrived at the agreed upon location for pick up I was informed I could not park my rental car there (this was never communicated before). When calling xcarat about what solution could be made they stated I could “drive behind the bus” to our tour. Obviously the bus left us and I have in a 3 month battle with them because they will not offer me any type of refund for not being able to go on my tour & their poor communication. I have had countless phone calls with different people giving me the run around but I still have yet to see a refund. I will never return and I cannot express enough how dissatisfied I am with this company.

We went early and got there at around 8:30AM and there was no lines and almost nobody there! So I recommend going early because it’s like you have the whole park to yourself! It was very cleanly and organized with helpful staff. So much to do and so much fun. I’m so glad we made sure to make time for this excursion during our trip to Mexico!
