It is an amazing park with a lot of activities and things to do, I had the park plus with the photo package and it was worth it. The only thing I would do different is get a two day pass as there was not enough hours in the day to do it all in one. They had an amazing show at the end of the day!
Loved it and was very glad to go there.

We went to Xcaret in 2013 and payed, I think, $69 or $79 USD to get in. It is now $140 USD per person! It was more rustic back then, but it had all the same great Mayan shows and natural features. Now, it is more like an American theme park development, but in our opinion, the shows were better back then. The new giant covered arena show was much more exciting in the old venue. The new nightime “Mayan Ball Court Game (of Death)” seems more like you are watching a soccer game! They’ve expanded the underground river/cenotes that you can snorkel in, but these areas are clearly man-made where the previous ones at least “seemed” natural. All in all $140 USD to walk around this park and get one mediocre buffet meal with one free beer is a bit ridiculous, but if you’ve never seen this park, you should go. The developer that created this park has now built about 5 other Cancun/PDC area “X-” parks on the backs of over-charged Americans! I say that because Mexican Nationals with I.D.s pay a much lower entrance fee than you will.

This is a nice place to spend a whole day. This means if you are in a cruise do not bother booking a tour here, as the time will be too little to properly enjoy the park. I would say if you fly to Cancun and stay there, surely book a trip to Xcaret!!! To start, the park has 3 underground rivers you can swim in, a boat ride on Paradise river if you do not feel like swimming, snorkling, scuba, parasailing, swim with dolphins or stingrays, cultural shows, a butterfly pavillion, a small but nice jaguar-panther area, a fantastic aviary, stone temples, a Mayan village and a cementery, a beach, restaurants and cafeterias, and a church with a very unusual main altar. I woukd say this park is about the size of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, which is why 5 hours there is surely not enough. The food is good and the prices reasonable. Souvenirs are priced between ok and a little up, but you will not regret going there if you are looking for the activities I mention here

This is a very popular attraction and I thought it would be ok, so we got the package that includes lunch and one activity (sea trek). I must say that the logistic in the park is very good, the shows are amazing, specially the last show, it was more than I expected to see (dont leave the park before this show). The food was also good and you have several options to choose where and what to have for lunch.
