It’s very different to what you’d expect – no rides as such – everything is connected with nature. You can swim with dolphins, go snorkeling, swim in the underwater rivers, climb the ruins, chill by the beach, watch the Ceremony Of The Voladores, paraglide, do the underwater spacewalk, take the high speed boar ride, the whole day is topped off with a 90 minute musical history of Mexico extravaganza. I’m glad we went.
Beware – it’s a vast area, so you need to be fit and don’t forget your sunblock.

I described Xcaret to a friend as “Busch Gardens Cancun,” but it is honestly so much more than that. I spent one day there and will most definitely have to return. It is too much park for one day. When it comes to everything Mayan — from flora and fauna to history and culture — Xcaret has got to be the crown jewel of the Mayan Riviera. A world class aviary, butterfly garden, aquarium, zoo, bat cave, cathedral, equestrian show, cultural history — I could go on and on! Words do not do Xcaret justice. It is something you have to experience yourself. Very accessible to children, teens, and adults of all ages — there is something for everyone. And do spent a little more money on the Xcaret Plus package — it is well worth it! The park, while huge, is easy to navigate using the color-coded trails. Just about the time you think you may not know where the heck you’re going, you’ll find yourself in front of a huge “You are here” map. Do not skip the underground passage, swimming your way under the park in the cenotes. It’s an experience not to be missed. As I come to this area again and again and again, I will be visiting Xcaret every time!

This park is a must see if you are in the Cancun area of Mexico. So much to see and do.
We stayed right next door and had unlimited access to the Park – what a bonus this was!
We loved swimming in the rivers (be sure to swim all 3 rivers!!) and seeing all the animals, especially the manatee and sea turtles.
Do not miss the evening show. We went twice, once was the dinner show, where we had a front row seat. Loved learning about the Mayan culture and the Mexican history. We loved the chocolate workshop/ Jesus was so informative and did a great job!! Do not miss this park! It’s well worth the money!!

We loved our time here as a family with a young child. Lots to do and see, night and day. We stayed for the night show and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also opted for the picture package, using the bracelet to take pictures around the site was so easy and fun. We also found the bag service very convenient and efficient. We ate at the restaurant overlooking the ocean and we’re pleased with the food selection. The underground river was something different and my 3 year old was wowed.

This is a beautiful eco-park with all of the comforts you can think of.
We went with the “Plus” package and the show at the end of the day was so, so worth it!!
The food at the restaurants is excellent. Don’t be afraid to splurge a little on the plus package because you do get your money’s worth. It’s a truly lovely place and DO NOT miss the late night Mexico show! It is a MUST SEE!
