The best part of this excursion was the show. It was spectacular. The rest of the park is so busy, i compare this attraction to Disney Parks. Lots of line waiting. I was truly disappointed in the snorkeling area. It was super small and packed with people. The last time I visited the park was 20 years ago. The snorkel area was massive and you could sea many more fish. Now it is all about making money. You must pay to snorkel, and I am not sure what you will see in that area as I chose not to do on top of the park entrance fee. I will not return here again.

The day trip to Xcarat is an excellent day out. There is plenty to do and see especially for people who like the water. Watching people swimming with the dolphins was especially good. The lunchtime buffet had a good choice of food and was well presented. The equestrian show followed by the evening show were both highly entertaining and worth the wait although it made for a very long day. We chose to have the additional evening meal whilst watching the show which although expensive (£113 for 2) was at least 5 courses of delightful food and drink..Overall I would highly recommend this trip..

If you don’t like packed parks, long lines, and food poising do not bother with this park. The price is not worth it. We spent $1000 for a family of 6 and I would never go back. My husband got food poising from one of the buffets and lost a day and half of our vacation too. We could barely float though the water tunnels they were so gross and packed. If you have to go… go early as it becomes insanity in the afternoon. For the show… if you don’t get there by 6:30pm you won’t get a seat.

I will start with we were both sick on our honeymoon and we missed our day. We are at the Dr the day we were supposed to go and I called (dont try the texting option as they never answer) to see if we could get out trip rearranged. Not only did they accommodate, but they also arranged special transportation. We bought the plus package so we had a gentlemen meet us and show us around. The park was awesome, animals had fantastic habitats, but the prices for the extras were a bit high. We did the Spa which was under a waterfall and looked awesome, but it is beside a main park of the floating river and nothing says “relaxing” like kids and adults screaming at each other which you are getting rubbed down 🙁

All in all, it was a great place and I would definitely visit again.
