This is definitely one of the best theme parks we have visited aside from Disneyland and Universal. It encompasses Mexican culture and traditions set in a natural environment. The underground caves were delightful for the senses although the experience was marred by the horde of swimmers floating in all directions. There are photo boxes all over the place, just buy a photo wristband upon entry. We bought one each and it was a total waste of money. One should be sufficient for a family. Photos are downloadable within a month. Kiosks are all over the place, you just need to be patient while waiting on line. There are different restaurants you could choose from, we chose the one underground which was very nice with live music. Use the park map and have an agenda on how to utilise your time in the park wisely or else you lose a lot of time walking in all directions. Plan extra activities upon entry and queue as early as possible. We opted out of the extra activities and had loads of time exploring the park. You need water, a hat, a good pair of walking/wading shoes and reef-friendly sun lotion. Don’t miss the spectacular show. Head directly to the amfi-theater when night falls and find a good sitting area or pre-book a dinner. Have something to drink, it can get really hot. Well worth every cent. Enjoy!

First of all, if you already visited Loro Park in Tenerife or Casela park in Mauritius forget about Xcaret, there is almost nothing for you to see here. Xcaret is nice, the underground River is a must if you decided to visit. The beach looks good too. There are a lot of activities but most of them are either average or crowded. For example there were like 30 people chasing 2 skarks in a 15 meater basin. It’s also overpriced in our opinion. You have to Pay extra for almost anything. If you don’t have natura at you hotel or didn’t experienced natural cenotes you will like the park. Otherwise it will be a waste of time.

I have gone to this park many times over the past 15 years that I have lived here taking Friends and Family. The most recent was this past December, and that is the one I will review. They offer an afternoon option where you enter the park at 4pm for a reduced rate, and have 2.5-3 hours before the Spectacular Night Show begins.
Plenty of time to wander through the Bird Aviary, Butterfly Pavilion, and even see the Horse Show at 6pm or wander and do whatever moves you until the evening show begins at 7pm. . My friends tend to be older now (like me!) and that is plenty of time to wander before we settle in to see what I consider to be one of the best shows about the history and the regions of Mexico, all performed in a high-tech beautiful open-air auditorium. Live musicians and professional singers and dancers perform an amazing show that is Broadway quality. Of the many people that I have taken, 100% have said, “WOW!” when it ended. I have also attended Day of The Dead festivities and done the entire day at the park, but by far the after 4pm entrance is my favorite!

We did the Royal Caribbean ships tour to Xcaret and we had so much fun. We caught the water taxi across from Cozumel and then a quick bus tour to XCaret. The bus had a great guide and free wifi and then we hit the park. We had heaps of fun, did the river float, saw dolphins, aqaurium was really cool. So much natural beauty and we ran out of time. We had lunch at the place at the front entrance and had the best burgers. Highly recommend this place
