As we were staying in the Occidental Hotel next door, we decided on the weekly pass as we could walk in and out of this Park whenever we wanted.
The cost was $200 per person for a week and because of its nearby location we made sure we got our monies worth out of the passes.
There is a lot to see and do(some things at additional costs). Raft rides, swimming through the junle rivers, Animals, dolphins, lagoon snorkling, Mayan shows, aquariums, a large avery , Mayan village and ruins plus much more.
There is a lot of walking involved and it gets very busy by 10.30.
There is also an extremely impressive Mayan show in a large arena , nightly at 7 pm.
I was impressed, though our closeness to the park helped us take in separate parts of the park at are own pace.

A whole day event that will have you tired at the end of the day but feeling very satisfied. River is a must and make sure to take advantages of the workshops.

What can I say? Xcaret has everything: animals, Mayan ruins, water activities and a fantastic evening show. I have been to this park four times now and it has never failed to disappoint although it is a lot busier than I remember it on my last visit in 2008.

The whole park is well thought out with coloured trails to follow according to which parts you would like to see. I don’t think it is possible to see it all in a day though maybe I am wrong. This time we did the swim through the Cenotes which is so refreshing. It can get very dark in places so worth considering if you have young children. We saw flamingos, parrots, manatees, turtles, iguanas, the aquarium, monkeys, horses, dolphins and sharks etc. If you like wildlife this trip is a must. There are lots of ruins hidden among the trees and the observation tower has some great views.

The whole park is just so beautiful with crystal clear waters running though the jungle.

In the evening, there is a fantastic show which depicts the Mayan history and even has a ball game played with a burning ball. The second half of the show has music and dance from across Mexico – my favourite being the dance of the old men and the flying men.

If you are going to Mexico don’t miss Xcaret – it is absolutely fantastic!

🐠Spent the day at Xcaret! We swam in underground rivers & snorkeled.
🙄😂 but he did it anyway 👏 the water was really choppy so our speedboat excursion got canceled, but we enjoyed the beautiful scenery & cute animals! The aviary was amazing! Buffet lunch was good too!

We went to Xcaret many years ago & felt like there was so much more to do and see that we came back. Wow, they’ve added a lot more. We did two days and would easily increase that next time. Fabulous place for all ages! Wear comfortable walking shoes & bring swimsuits!
