This place had activities for adults as well as almost all ages of kids, my son even took his 10 month old daughter on the river swim, they have area you can get out every 200 meters or so if you are tired or don’t want to go to the end of the river swim.

My Husband and I came here 6 years ago and loved it. We’ve returned with our 2 year old daughter on our trip to Playa Del Carmen and we loved it even more. There has been changes all for the good. It’s a pricey admission and worth it! If you know you are going to come here on vacation then buy your tickets online a month (i think 22 days or so) ahead and get them 15% cheaper. We decided not to get the transportation included and taxi instead because we wanted to get there as close to opening (8:30am) as possible. With a toddler in tow we need every minute there we can get. Taxi from playa cost us 300 pesos and only 250 back.

You can rent strollers there but be warned they’re big clunky looking things. We used a tula back carrier and much preferred that. My husband and i loved the bird and butterfly area the most. So beautiful and well done!

The park is large and you’ll need to follow or look at a map. the areas are colour coded and on the path there are coloured stones in the center of the path that way you know what area you are in–similar to in a hospital.

We thought the children’s world would be our biggest hit but the water was too cold for our girl who is part fish. She instead enjoyed the climbing area beside the kids pool. We also did a parent fail and forgot her bathing suit at the hotel (not ours though) so we did buy a swim top from the store there that was about $30US.

We did not stay for the evening show because of toddler, but we’d seen it before and loved it. would have liked to see it again.

Xcaret is an amazing place for all ages. The underwater rivers are relaxing yet fascinating to see. The butterfly sanctuary is remarkable to see & the evening show is so education and beautiful to see.

This park of Xcaret is one of the most beautifull parc in all America .. it surpasses the ones of USA , not only because of the Mayan ruins and civilization , but also for the beautifulness of the site , the cost line , and the jungle , the amazing rich animal life , and the numerous activities .. but what makes ir exceptional are the 3 rivers of fresh water you can swim into , in spectacular surroundings
