If you are looking for a single location to experience this part of Mexico, this is the place. Lots of activities and shows, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff.

My advice would be to do all your “water” activities first so that you can change into dry clothing for the remainder of the day. Also get the XCARET PLUS ticket so you have access to lockers and showers and change rooms.

Bring your own water bottles. They have filtered water locations throughout the park and it will save you a fortune on drinks.

We also did the snorkling tour. It was nice, but if I had to do it over again I would go through a seperate venue as it eats up 2 hours of your day easily. I would be time better spent enjoying the park for the admission paid.

Amazing day with way too much to do. We were on a cruise and if I had known about the size of the place and the boat ride and bus ride to get to it I would have probably opted for something else. That being said, this place is amazing. Ask you tour guide to recommend a restaurant. The four of us ate a very large lunch for about $70 american including tip at a beach side restaurant. The same meal here would have been atleast $60. If you want to see alot of stuff be ready to walk. If not pick a place on the beach and enjoy yourself.

We booked our excursion through our hotel. We initially thought that going all day that we would skip the show and come back on the 4:30pm bus to our resort but it is a full day at this park with lots to do and keep your interest. We were so happy that we stayed for the show because it was truly spectacular!

It took us some time to navigate through this park but they have done their best to simplify it. We had a great laugh with the high tech picture taking part of it and we did end up buying the picture package. Our pictures are hysterical and a great way to remember the day. We did not preview them so it was good fun opening the email and seeing them. You have various spots to stand where they indicate, scan your bracelet, find the camera and smile…we were not good at it. There are some photographers around doing the same (scan your bracelet and take the picture with their camera) which turned out to be better pictures when we looked at their camera. The park offers a package which gets you in the park, lunch, dinner, snorkel with snorkeling but there are some experiences that cost extra money. We chose not to do the extra and still had a very full day. Our favorite part were the animals and watching the dolphin show, shark encounter with other people in with the sharks.
My tips for this excursion: bring a water proof case for your phone (although they sell them there but maybe for more), bring an empty water bottle as there are places to fill them there, buy the picture package, sit in lower bowl if possible to see the screen properly (we were upper bowl and the lighting blocked it) at the show and obviously stay for the show.

We had a great day- loved the shows, the food and the swimming experience. Neat birds and other animals there as well.
