I was Shocked at how fun the caves would be and how high the zip lines were! And then to zip line into a water cave…. EPIC!!

Xcaret has so much to offer, you could actually spend 2 days there just to see it all. Will definitely go back next year to do/see the things we missed. You do NOT need to buy a “tour”, which included transportation and a buffet lunch. The “tour” bus was supposed to leave at 9:00 am, but didn’t leave until 10am by the time they check everyone in, alot of waiting around. The park is only about 4-5 miles from Playa. Just take a taxi and buy your ticket at the park. Although the lunch buffets were good, it’s too much food to eat in the middle of the day. There are plenty of other options within the park.

We spent the good part of a day here as one of the excursions included with our stay at Hotel Xcaret. We took the boat shuttle from the resort along the canal that passes through the Occidental Hotel grounds, and that was a fun way to get here. Once at the park we started by going up the scenic tower, which gave us a great view of the entire surrounding area. After that we walked around the park, starting with the white route to the Mayan village area, then on to the butterfly pavilion, the stained glass plaza, the chapel, and Mexican cemetery. The cemetery was really something to see….we were amazed by the unique and very colourful tombstones with such intricate detail. Simply amazing! We took time out for a buffet lunch and then continued our trek, seeing the coral reef aquarium, sharks, and sea turtles. We didn’t get a chance to see everything, as the park is huge, but we’ll just have to come back on our next visit to Mexico!

This place is crazy expensive! Everything in it is full of extra charges! $250 US for photos with the dolphins after paying $260 US just to get in!!!! Got to the end of night big show an hour and a half before it was supposed to start and it was standing room only from a km away so we left.

Amazing place for everyone. I have never seen place like that, it worth all of money. Best choince is option with buffet xcaret plus. Food was gorgeus and fresh.
