This park is a must visit, I had the chance to visit for free because I was a guest at their hotel property. There is so much to see and do. Lots of native shows and excursions to enjoy.

It was ALOT of walking. Felt like we had to walk so far to get to the next thing. There is only one place to get food that isn’t a buffet. The food was good there and price was reasonable, but it was far out of the way in the top corner of the park. All the buffet’s costed a fortune and we just wanted something light.
The cash register at the gift shop went down and the young worker just kept shaking her mouse as if it wasn’t working. She never once said anything to any of the ten people in line. No one could figure out what was taking so long. She never called for backup, or even told any of us that there was another register at the other end. We literally stood in line for half an hour before a worker that was leaving for the day came over to say goodbye and she mentioned to the lady it wasn’t working because then that lady took us all to the other register. This young lady was poorly trained. She had no problem letting us all wait for all that time when she had better options she wasn’t telling us about.
The park is very beautiful, but we wanted a bit more adventure and didn’t get that here without paying additional fees that we didn’t think were reasonably priced.
We paid $119us per person (and that included an air transat discount). so all and all it was $478 canadian for three (we also didn’t get the bus as we wanted to be on our own time so we paid our own cab on top of that). All we saw were some mokeys, giraffes, boars, flamingoes, manatees, two baby sharks, a swim in a very small cenote, and a fifteen minute boat ride under the cave. we pay alot less here in canada at our parks to see alot more. If I was asked to do this again I would, but the most I would ever pay to see what I saw would be $30us. It really just wasn’t worth the money, and then anything they did have that looked fun was additional $. This is gouging at it’s best.

We love spending the day at xcaret. Its a beautiful park with so many activities and shows. You can snorkle the lazy river, climb the ruins and small pyramids, play at the beach and walk all day and for an extra fee you can swim with the dolphins, manatee and more. Ride the revolving viewing tower for free and see for miles. Make sure you stay for the incredible show about the Mexican culture: history music and dance. The show is worth the day admission on its own!

Lots of walking, great entertainment with amazing cultural shows. Water activities were fun – Canal Boat Ride about 15 mins., Cave Swimming about 1 hour On Long trip and 20 min for Short Trip. Lots of activities cost extra ie. Snuba, Swimming with Dolphins. One meal is included out of 5 Restaurants. Food was ok. Premium Drinks cost extra. Expect to pay more for other things. It was $3 for a bottle of water or soda. Snacks were $3 for a bag of chips or doritos. The prices have gone up because they see money is to be made off of the tourist. You will be there from 11am to 9pm. The transportation is about 2 hours travel time. Exhausting day but I would recommend this activity over others.

During our last trip to Cancun we decided very last minute to book a day at Xcaret – and we were SO glad that we did! We chose the package with transportation which was nice however, depending on your hotel & how many people are on your bus, it can add an extra hour or two to your trip. The park itself was better than expected! A wonderful mix of natural beauty in the cenotes, beach, and ocean. The cultural activities are great as well! We did a sweat lodge with a traditional mexican shaman- soo cool! We finished our evening with the dinner show which was delicious and entertaining. I would highly recommend visiting Xcaret the next time you are in Cancun!
