I do not understand their claim of being eco friendly.
There were around 30 dolphins in areas no bigger than a rugby field (7 to each area). They had no space to swim other than round and round in small circles.
Dolphins swim 100s of kilometres a day in the wild, how can ‘small pens’be justified?
The cave swim was incredibly boring, just lots and lots of people kicking each other! Also, the snorkels were throw away ones , contributing to goodness knows how much waste per year.
I enjoyed seeing the butterflies but the exhibit was underwhelming and tatty.
The show was large, with over 300 participants apparently. The first half was good as it gave an insight into Mexican history but the second half was boring and we left.
I wish we had spent our money on something else.

The hospitality, talent, care, nature and price is better than Disney! You have to stay for the show. The show is long but the pure talent and history will give you an appreciation for the people and land of Mexico like non other.

This was one of the parks we could go to for free whenever we liked for free as we were stopping at the Hotel Xcaret. We made full use of this and went almost every day sometimes stopping for a few hours and sometimes for the whole day.
There is so much to do at this park but beware , if you choose to do some extras like swimming with Dolphins or Turtles eat it will be a very costly day, a lot is free and i suggest you see the Aquarium , the Aviary and the Butterflies , go and find out how to make Chocolate and all for free .
It does get very hot at the park but the underground river is a great place to cool off, try and go later in the day when its not too busy .

Can’t say enough good things about the eco park. We stayed next door and visited Xcaret four times and found new things each time. The underground river swim is a must do. We had a great massage at their Xspa. It was in a cave setting with a waterfall splashing around. Experienced lots of Mayan and Mexican culture. The show at night is long but spectacular with the costumes and pageantry. Lots of walking and can get turned around easily but just consider it exploring. So many places to take great insta worthy pictures. If you have never gone, it is definitely worth a visit.

This was by far the best experience that I’ve ever had. So much to do over there. You can either plan out the where you’d like to go to on the map or you can just kind of go with the flow and explore it all. All of the free activities have scheduled time slots, so you can schedule your day around them. Impossible to do everything there in one day, but that’s the beauty of it haha. Even if you went 3-5 days straight and do it all, you’ll be so intrigued and excited to do it all again.
The paid activities look so fun too! We had the Xcaret plus package. This included a free restaurant or buffet of your preferred choice. Plus it also includes the swimming snorkelling package. Which allows you to swim around the whole island. Pretty fun experience. It can take between 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete the swim from start to finish. Shallow waters: So it’s really safe to swim (Even for non swimmers).
We paid for the massage package as well. Let’s just say that this was an amazing way to start of the day over there. The whole massage experience was incredible. These massage therapist are truly gifted. The experience was heavenly. I had a knot at the bottom of my right foot from playing beach soccer a few days before. After this wonderful massage experience, the knot and pain I was feeling in my right foot was gone. They also gave us some free red wine that was served with ice. It taste so good. Always great when you can have an iced red wine. The wine is called Riunite: Lambrusco (Vino Tinto Italia).
The workshops were fantastic. They showed you and gave you the opportunity to partake in the process of making Mexican coffee, Mexican chocolate, coconut milk and so much more. All were so delicious.
For my eating option; I chose the Mexican buffet. The food looked scrumptious and
tasted amazing.
So many beautiful animals and things to do. Which is a great reason for you to go and enjoy this beautiful experience.
All the shows and entertainers were amazing. The best show is the one at the end of the night. They put on a remarkable and exceptional performance for 2 hours. It gives you a deeper insight on the history and the culture. They put it together beautifully.
Last thing to mention is that I booked this excursion with Sunwing. The tourguide/host the bus was really good. She was really helpful. Sucks that I can’t remember her name, so you guys could request her. If you take the Xcaret all day package, you’ll most likely get her.
