This park asks nothing to the Disney parks in the U.S. I dare to say that we had so much more fun at Xcaret and Xel-ha than any other theme park before. It is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. The buffet is not great, but still reasonable. You shoulnt expect the best food to be in a buffet anyway.

Owning a waterpark in Houston, Big Rivers, we decided to book Xel-Ha, a related park first. My wife wasn’t sure she wanted to go to a second park on our Spring Break trip. We decided to surrender a day to explore Xcaret.

When we were done, we wish we had booked two days for each park! They are amazing parks. Xcaret is an amusement park, zoo, dining experience, Broadway show, all-in-one.

The Spectacular show at the end of the day is worth the cost of the Xcaret’s admission price (and we have paid that much or more for similar shows in Vegas). There are so many activities, adventure and entertainment options that the biggest problem was the fighting among the family over what to do next.

The most popular among half the family was a whole class on how chocolate is made, including hands on lessons and tastings.

Another popular activity was snorkeling in the hidden, underground river. After having snorkeled all week I began to get the whining that the kids didn’t want to get back in the water. After a little cajoling, they all got in and it was one of their favorite experiences.

Whether it was dining at La Laguna International Buffet or watching native Mayan dancers, the whole experience was “do we do this or that?” There was never a time where you’ll ask yourself “now what do we do?”

The staff is perfectly friendly and helpful. Even my broken Spanish was encouraged and appreciated and always responded to in English if I needed it. The Xcaret parks that we have been to, Xcaret and Xel-Ha are every bit Disney quality in environment, food offerings, retail options and courtesy, perhaps even surpassing.

We had a wonderful day w tickets purchased w help of Trip Advisor. This park is very authentic with a multiple array of activities to keep everyone happy. It is not easy w a wheel chair or stroller just because the cobblestone pathways are difficult to maneuver. Excellent shows and delicious food. Would return in a heartbeat. A must experience if you are traveling to Cancun. Stay for the final show as it is spectacular!! This trip exceeded our expectations.

I have been to this place 6 or 7 times and it never gets old! There are so many things to do here that we cannot do them all in a single day. Great diversity! From the awesome underground rivers, to the night show it is a day well worth it! There’s just so much to do and see! The whole family will have a blast here!
