We visited in mid March right before Covid-19 hit and had a blast! The park wasn’t very crowded so we didn’t have to deal with long lines or anything. Lots of cold water stations, plenty of food options and reasonably priced. We bought the kids the passport book so we saw just about everything while they collected their stamps. Highlights were the butterflies, the turtles, the sting rays, the many beach areas, the long river swim through the caves, and of course the evening show. We also did the Adrenaline boat ride, awesome but we didn’t know they actually submerge the boat, so you will get really wet and its borderline violent getting slammed by the water. Huge park so made sure you have good shoes. And good like navigating, even with the maps and coloured pathways you will get lost. But thats ok, Many times we discovered new things to see while we were “lost”. Lots to see and do.

We went to Xcaret while in Mexico last July and it was a great experience. There is so much to do and see there, we spent an entire day and really enjoyed it. Be prepared for plenty of walking, there are various coloured routes to follow but we tried to take in everything. We enjoyed floating along the rivers, snorkeling, the butterflies and birds. The photo set up is fantastic as at multiple points you can stop for a photo opportunity, you scan your band and at the end of the day all the photos you took are available to purchase. While it is an additional cost we indulged as there were some fab ones with animals/birds etc. Make sure to hang on for the evening show as this gave a great insight into Mexican culture and was lovely to watch! Would definitely recommend

I really liked this place. It’s a little crowded in high season but overall a beautiful park. My biggest complaint is that the price of admission doesn’t include very much as far as activities so if you expect to do anything other than just walk around the zoo and exhibits (these are nice though) or dip in the water at the snorkeling area (not much to see though) or see the cultural shows, expect to pay extra for scuba diving, boat rides, etc. Regardless I didn’t do any of the extra stuff and I still had a blast with my family and the nightly extravaganza show is the MOST AMAZING thing I’ve ever seen. That show alone was worth the price of admission. Beautiful 2 hour spectacle with live singing and musicians (great talent!), beautiful cultural costumes and dancing, I loved everything about it and left feeling a lot of admiration for Mexican culture. Really beautiful and I definitely recommend for a family friendly day trip. If you want something more exciting and adventurous, I’d look at one of the other parks though if you don’t want to pay extra.

Xcaret was gorgeous, the park just opened June 15th, they have protocols for COVID, we were there all day, the rivers were so much fun. We did the dolphins and snorkeling, staff were awesome. So much to see and do, beautiful location. The show at the end was spectacular!! It was a great day, we will return again.

If you can only pay for one activity, it has to be this one.
Everything was spectacular, make sure to bring enough sun lotion, mosquito spray and extra clothes and chargers or extra batteries.
