Where do I start? It’s better than Disney World. The animals, water activities, scenery….I could go on and on. The only minus I could say about XCARET! is that it definitely is not suited for handicapped people or elderly people.

Overall, we had a pleasureable experience however, I’m glad we did this one first. We went straight for the Underground river as we hear it fills up fast and didn’t want to miss out on the experience. I think we were all very excited to experience it and kind of, swam through it rather fast from excitement. That said, we finished the entire activity in about 45 minutes. I was under the impression that there were 3 separate Rivers to explore however, I was later disappointed to find out that it’s all one long river that has alternate ‘routes’ which in turn, makes it into 3 rivers. After we found out this information, we didn’t even go through it a second time. We would see practically the same exact thing from the first pass and didn’t care to bother with it.

We got done so quickly that we were looking for activities to do. We had a scheduled time for the Adrenalina and it wasn’t quite time yet. We sat around and lounged on the hammocks at the top of the cliff. It was a beautiful view, very relaxing and peaceful to hang and swing under the palms. We wasted enough time until it was time for our scheduled activity… The Adrenalina! This was the highlight of our trip to this park. A few broken nails to say the least but it was very exciting and worth the experience.

We had arranged transportation and couldn’t leave earlier until it was our scheduled time at 4:30 that afternoon. If it were up to us, we likely would’ve return to our resort earlier. We did eat lunch at the Peninsula Restaurant which was probably the best buffet experience I’ve ever had. The view was spectacular! We checked out the Aviary as well and it was like we were walking through a different world. Took us a good while to find it and we did get lost on the way; even with signs posted, we had difficulty finding it.

All in all, we enjoyed our experience but had a better time at the other parks. Xenotes was our favorite! Xplor was fun too but the ziplines were very tiresome. I’d recommend to others but wouldn’t come back for a second visit.

Kids loved the underground rivers, the shows were fantastic especially if you love mexican history and culture. The food is really quite poor and a la carte options are overly expensive for what you pay to get in. The scuba is overrated and so are some of the excursions. The mayan ritual and all the costumes are incredible and i gave it 4 stars because of the unique feeling of the place. All in all its a great experience for a family.

under grown swimming was AMAZING. A must to visit with the family or couples. Unforgettable shows one of the best that I have seen BRAVO. Restaurant- food was delicious. Very safe and clean.
