This was a really great tour and we loved all three parts of it. I only write this review to warn others that it is a super long day in a van traveling near and far picking up and dropping off other tourists in your group at their hotels. Some of the hotels take 20 minutes just to get down the drive to the door of the hotel only to turn around and have to drive another 20 minutes back down the drive to the main road. Maybe we were just unlucky, but we got picked up at 6:15 am and we didn’t get dropped back off until 7:30 pm. So while everything about the actual tour and activities were awesome and worth every penny, the long bus ride to many different hotels all up and down the coast was not something I anticipated or loved! I’m not sure what or how they could change this, but it did make for a really long day I didn’t expect!

David M. was our tour guide and he was amazingly passionate about the experience and the environment. He made sure we were all entertained and had adequate time at each tour stop (Tulum Ruins, Snorkeling, then the Cenote). The tour itself is tailored to be a little different from the major tourist spots in Tulum for snorkeling and for the cenote. Amazing cave experience that we were very grateful for experiencing with David. Thank you again to the Ocean Tours crew, and David!

We had a terrific time! Tulum was full of interesting facts and amazing ruins. Snorkeling was a bit crowded with other groups but we saw sea turtles and sting rays while snorkeling — a huge hit with our 10 year old son. And the cenotes were magnificent Marina, Jorge, and Guillermo took great care of us and were fabulous hosts. Would definitely recommend!

An absolutely brilliant day out with JP. Our group was a great bunch of only 9 people, so more personal than other excursions I’ve done.
The expert we had at Tulum was very knowledgeable and shared his information very passionately. The only criticism here was the ‘free time’ was a little short.
Snorkeling was truly amazing. We saw so many turtles and rays around the reef, a real once in a lifetime experience. With a bit of luck I have some great GoPro footage too, although I haven’t checked yet.
Having visited a cenote on the Chichen Itza trip I wasn’t overly excited for the last stop, but this was easily the best part of the day. The whole thing is underground, in a magical cave, and you could be forgiven for thinking you were in a Tomb Raider game. It’s so serene swimming down there, I couldn’t possibly recommend it highly enough.
Other points that elevate this excursion over others I’ve done:
* Snacks and cold water provided at no charge
* No surprise charges for life jackets, taxes etc
* No ‘visits’ included in the day that are badly disguised attempts at a hard sell (ie tequila, obsidian, statues etc)

Pepe and Javier were absolutely brilliant! Very fun and enjoyable experience with lots of information! Would definitely recommend to others!
