The best tour!!! Pepe and Javier have given us the best tour of our whole holiday! So much fun and so much information! Would recommend to anyone! A perfect mix of activities in a really good order.

I had the best tour guides Pepe (Jose) & carlos. The entire experience was amazing! The cenotes is like an energy vortex! Pepe was so professional and funny. Recommend him 100%. He treated us like friends and not clients. We booked through ocean tours Mexico. I would return just to hang out with my tour guides. Coolest dudes ever. I got sea sick snorkeling and Pepe drug me back to the shore like I was a broke down car. Lol what a memorable experience. Pepe gave us great detail about the history of everything. My group had an amazing time. I can’t wait to bring my children back. The food at lunch was delicious. Everybody was so friendly and patient. Pepe went above and beyond your average guide expectations. Swimming in the caves was one of the coolest experiences I have ever done. Everything was beautiful and the views were breathtaking.my group of 8 and I do not have one single complaint. Highly highly recommend. Don’t forget to request Pepe! Tell him the Nebraska group sent ya.

Wow wow wow!
We had a great trip with Ocean tours to check out the Tulum Ruins, Reef, and a Cenote.
We started a bit late, which was apparently due to some traffic incident, but after that everything ran smoothly and was extremely enjoyable.
Our guide, JP, was hilarious and also knew so much about the local area, history and current events. I enjoyed his knowledge and sense of humour.
The guide at the Ruins was informative and the view from the cliff was spectacular. We didn’t get a ton of time to explore, but quite honestly, it was so hot in the fields that I’m not sure how much more time I would have needed.
The snorkelling was a lot of fun. Our group managed to see turtles, rays and an assortment of sea life. The coral was gorgeous and I was impressed at how attentive the guides were in making sure that we were all safe and enjoying the water.
After a rather bumpy ride into the jungle (maybe not the best if you get car sick) we came into a spectacular area for an authentic and delicious lunch and a ‘cenote swim’. I’ve done a cenote in the past and this wasn’t even close to what I was expecting, it was so much better.
We got to swim through a series of underground tunnels and rivers, viewing amazing stalactites and stalagmites and even getting to cliff jump into a pool of water in the pitch black! (Highlight of the trip!) The water was so refreshing and our groups personality again made for a great trip through the tunnels.
I would highly recommend this tour and intend o take my husband on the same tour the next time we’re in the area.

Nothing short of fantastic Arturo was an amazing guide. It was so much fun for our two boys (12 and 10). We saw 3 turtles and 2 sting rays even with supper choppy conditions in the ocean. The cenote topped it all. How fun to swim underground!

So… the tour was alright. We had a small group of about 10 people total and we did all 3 activities which were all pretty cool. Our tour guide Marsela was very friendly and definitely had a lively personality… but, honestly none of it was worth the $120 (with tax) and $13 USD entry fee per person.
It just was not worth it. The day before our tour, we actually went to the beach called Playa Maya to scope out the area and there were guides all over the beach trying to sell snorkeling/cenotes/ruins packages… some even offered less than $20 for each event and threw in some lounging beds on the beach!!! If you have a rental, don’t even waist your time buying this tour. Don’t get me wrong, it was fun. Plus the food at the end was a nice touch. But it just wasn’t worth all that money. Especially if you aren’t afraid to bargain with some of the tour guides in person.
They didn’t even let us take our own photos. Our tour guide would get angry at some girls who had their own water proof camera that were trying to take some photos. She had even yelled at a girl and told her to put her camera away. At the beginning of the tour, she had said that the photos they were taking would be complimentary. At the end, they proceeded to try and charge us for photos taken by one of the photographers there.
None of the people in my group thought that the $529 that we spent (for 4 people plus the b.s. $13 fee for each person) was worth it. At all. Not for the food. Not for the shuttle. None of it. There are literally street vendors selling tacos for so much less and the food is so much better. Not to mention, to be charged $80 for photos? You end up feeling obligated because they don’t let you take any so you have no other way to look back at your memories. And they even tried selling us $25 t-shirts. $25!! For a t-shirt!! And it wasn’t even all that nice, it was just a simple cotton t shirt that says ocean tours on it.
At the end of our trip they dropped us off at our hotel, and proceeded to ask us for a tip. She had not asked the previous people they dropped off but she asked us and guilted us by saying “well this is how we make our money, come on guys you were a big group” Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind tipping! My group is very comfortable tipping, but the fact that we spent all that money (over $600!!!) for a MEDIOCRE experience, only to be harassed for a half-deserved tip… it was awkward. We did tip her, because it felt wrong not to and we understand that the way tipping works is a little different… but it left us feeling taken advantage of. Like they were really trying to milk us for all that we had. Don’t do it to yourself. This purchase was definitely not worth it. Save your money and your time.
We are fluent in Spanish and asked the locals about most of the places we visited had. They told us most of them had an entrance fee of $15 USD and if you already have a rental, you can pick and choose which you want to do and what photos you want to take. If you want to save your money and get more bang for you buck, DON’T BUY THIS. Instead just chill out and when you get there you will see how many “tour guides” are out on the beach trying to make money! Tulum thrives on tourism. We went during spring break, and absolutely none of the tours were “sold out”. Don’t fall for it. And honestly, it just feels better giving your money to locals who make their living off this rather then this bigger company that’s just trying to rip you off.
