Overall the park was a great place to visit. Hard to beat the price for an all inclusive park. A little disappointed our 360 boat experience was cancelled, but can’t control the wind causing rough seas…the park offered to book us on another attraction or refund our money for that specific attraction.
The pros – all inclusive meals, lockers, gear, snorkeling in the inlet, cenotes, and staff
The Cons – The waterside was a little overrated (just a note that they use salt water on the slide so be prepared for a nosefull of salt water at the bottom and the ride was pretty rough). The river float was rather boring and no means to help you move more quickly down that area (it became very tiring navagating against the wind in the inlet)
The highlight was seeing the many fish and a stingray when we were snorkeling in the bay inlet

We visited Xel Ha as a group of 7 with ages ranging from mid 20s right us to 60 and we all had a great time!
The snorkelling equipment, life jackets and towels are provided. The lazy river is such good fun and we really enjoyed the zip wires into the water.
The snorkelling is great we saw loads of fish and spent the whole morning in the lagoon – they have signs up telling you where lots of fish are so it’s really easy.
There were lots of bars and restaurants on site, The restaurant we used was nice with a decent selection of food and drinks. In the afternoon we took a nature trail and done some more snorkelling in the cave areas and some of our party done some rock jumping. Despite the number of people there it never felt too busy and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We didn’t take part in any of the additional activities so cannot comment on them but you can happily entertain yourself all day without them.

Had a super fun time at Xel-Ha. We snorkeled the river, cliff jumped, did the over water obstacle course, zip lined into the bay, did the light house water slide, ate breakfast and lunch, saw fish in the glass boat, drank by the palapa bar, and enjoyed the beauty of the park.
They have showers, changing rooms, lockers, and towels. Make sure you bring REEF SAFE SUNBLOCK. I didn’t see anyone enforcing this rule, but come on people, the least you can do is use the correct sunblock to prevent the demise of the coral reefs. If you don’t use the proper sunblock, your just being a jerk! I bought mine on amazon before the trip for under 10$ and it worked way better then normal sunblock anyhow. Make sure to buy REEF SAFE, not just organic or natural.

I like Playa Del Carmen, especially X-parks. I was in X-Plor, in Xcaret few times, in Xenses two times and Xenotes. I took Tulum – Xel-ha. What can I say? For Tulum excursion our group had only 50 minutes with guide, who told us stories about 25 minutes, before even come into archeological area. When we came in, he started a new story. All stories are interesting, but we wanted to see something, to take pictures. So, we left guide to look around, because we had only 20 minutes about to run around the Place. Really not happy. We saw nothing, just took quick pictures and galloped back to catch the bus to go to Xel-ha, where we were promised the paradise…
So, Xel-ha! The worst park among the parks. The water for snorkeling was not clean, you could see nothing, the Lighthouse was slow and boring, cennotes small and nothing special, but to reach the you have to run around 20 minutes. For what? Actually all attractions are so long from each other, that for me it took all day to do some activities, and no one worth it. The biggest problem it’s that they don’t have enough signes. You have no idea where to go, and if you take a wrong path, you have to walk, walk, walk to finally realize that you are wrong and you have to walk, walk, walk back…
Xcaret is similar, but much much better.
I was there three times.
I would not recommend you to go to Xel-ha. Waste of money!!!

We loved it here! Dolphins, manatees, iguanas and cool birds. A great value for the money. We floated down the lazy river through a mangrove, stopped on the way and swam. Then we stopped to zip line, and we also went on a huge water slide. Food and drink was included and it was good. This gets my highest review!👏👏👏
