The river swim was memorable but the rest was just average for our family. It was hot and the park is so large, we got tired. The manatees were cute and butterfly/aviary was cool. Other than that we left early to rest in the hotel

This is one of the worst animal conditions I’ve ever seen. Disgusting. It’s all about money. There is a huge space in this park and everything is occupied by pavilions of traders, there are 5-10 restaurants. Why?!?!?! And at this time the animals live in an extremely small space. The horses stand in a fence 2 by 2 meters. The marine life is in terrible conditions. I will not comment on the Dolphins … there is so much sadness. They keep them hungry to carry out stupid commands for some fish. I’m scandalous. Separately outrageously expensive for NOTHING. Each attraction is paid extra and in the end you get NOTHING. We went snorkeling. Hahah a total waste of time and money. It’s funny. 2 km from the park you are taken by boat and you turn around the boat to watch. Absolute nonsense. If you want to give your money to see how badly live the animal inhabitants of the park, this is the place of regret. If you want to spend an insane amount of money to walk in a park full of restaurants and merchants, to go for a walk on the river, this is the place. It does not correspond at all to the high status it has. A complete waste of money and time. Total, total disappointment. And take proper care of these animals that they make you money. Disgrace.

Fun all around day — it was a great way to get an overview of the Mayan culture. We started with dry activities down the brown path to the white path to the black path to the blue path. We then did the super amazing cave river swim (use the flippers, trust me!) to the red and green paths which lead to the beach and snorkeling areas. Lunch was delicious and we spent at least two hours in the natural ocean pools being pummeled (safely) by HUGE waves! We did not stay for the 2 hour show at night since we were staying at Hotel Xcaret Mexico and wanted to go enjoy the resort.

The bird sanctuary is huge. Well maintained, has some signage so you know what birds you’re looking at. It was definitely one of the many highlights.
The buffet restaurant has a very large range of foods, and good quality. Something for everyone in a great setting in the middle of tropical forest with bird sounds around.
The night show is worth the price of admission alone almost. Cultural representation from before the Spanish, through the Spanish explorers and after. Also dances and music from many of the different states in Mexico.
The lazy river is 1km long and a fun and interesting experience. You don’t need a locker at the start. Just send everything to the end. We put our phones and valuables in the bags with no issues or damage, as did most other people.

Terribly overpriced tourist trap not worth a day if your holiday. I don’t see how this is so popular, if you have never been to an average at best zoo you may be impressed but otherwise prepare to be underwhelmed.
