Xcaret is a MUST for anyone visiting Playa de Carmen. Most magical place on earth. SOOO beautiful! The underground river swims are AMAZING! The beaches are AMAZING. The bird atrium is AMAZING. Tons of other things there as well. Will be a FULL day – or 2. Been around 7 times – and keep coming back. The included night show (included in all tickets) is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. STAY FOR IT! We always buy the PLUS package, as it includes lockers, lunch and a beer or soda.
Supposed to wear masks, and we did at first – but we were all outside – so they kind of fell off… They limit the amount of people visiting – so was not packed. Just perfect 🙂
PS – buy the photo pass! Camera’s everywhere, and everyone in your group can just wave their arm bracelet in front of the camera, and they will all go into your photo bin. Computer download code given to you when you buy the photo option – which lets you download the entire bin. ( TIP: TAKE picture of code on your phone incase the paper gets lost or wet!)

This was our 2nd time visiting xcaret and we were very excited about it since our first time, did not have enough time. I checked in a locker to leave my personal belongings and left wallets, cell phones and clothes inside a bag pack. (family of six) We went thru the lazy river and at the end of it, my daughter asked for the key to the locker to change her clothes. Minutes later, she called me letting me know that she had misplaced the key. Upset with my daughter, we started walking towards the lockers (section 7 of the park) and looking down around the trail to see if we saw the key. As I am getting to the locker, I see my daughter trying to look for the key as well without success. I told my husband to stay in the locker and went outside to talk to customer service (light green shirt). He looked in his system and told me that my key was found and was in section 16 of the park so I walked towards 16 to go get it. When I got to section 16, the man in that section asked for a lot of nonsense questions and hesitated to give me the key. I told him to scan my bracelet to see that the key was mine and he said he couldn’t. He didn’t have any other option but to give it to me when I showed him a picture of the key. Went back to lockers, open the locker, and noticed that the backpack was there but did not check anything else. We left, had lunch and stay at restaurant for a while because it started raining very strong. After we noticed that the rain was not going to stop, we decided to leave the park. Went back to locker to get our backpack and left. As we were going towards our hotel in cancun, I received a text from one of my credit cards asking if we had charged 239 dollars to the credit card. (It was weird but answered No) As we got to the hotel all wet, we got dinner and I started putting things away because we were leaving the next day. Me naive and stupid didn’t notice that someone had taken my husband’s wallet and charge all his debits and credit cards. Didn’t noticed until next day that I signed in into my bank and I was in negative over 500 dollars. Someone had stole more than 4500 dollars from my account. I BLAME THE PARK AND ITS EMPLOYEES…..
1. NO thief is going to find a key and return it
2. If it would of being a thief, he/she would of taken everything including a cell phone that was next to the wallet
3. why the park employee was giving me a hard time to give me the key? (buying time maybe)
4. charges were made from Mexico DF not Cancun (I think is a ring of thieves)
BE VIGILANT WITH YOUR BELONGINGS AND DON’T TRUST THIS PLACE….my mistake was not checking right after I got the key
I paid over 800 dlls to be robed and had a raining day…totally not worth the experience.

This is a really beautiful Park! We had a blast in the cave river, ocean trek and the overall beauty of the park! Be ready because the river does take about 20 minutes to trek and there’s a very small part where there’s bats! My kids loved it, I didn’t!

This was truly an amazing experience. The only thing that was a problem were the prices – my family had to surrender over 1000 dollars to experience the mesmerizing show and park. No offence to Cirque Du Solei but the show was a million times better. We were brought to the park at 7 am, and even though it was a tiring wake up, it made up for it – we didn’t have to wait a single minute for the tickets! Once we entered the park, we were always in pursuit to see more. Just imagine, over 4 hectares of wildlife, time travel history and fun! Once we swimmed with dolphins, sharks, baby turtles, ate the amazing Mexican cuisine and watched the mid-day native American shows, my parents didn’t spend a single second by contemplating on buying the best seats for the famous Xcaret night show. The Xcaret show is a performance of the Mexican history with over 200 actors, a huge arena and amazing food for best seats. 10/10, would really recommend it.

Great park – so much to do, it’s hard to complete in a one day visit. We’ve been four times and have enjoyed it each time. During three visits we stayed at the XCaret Hotel next door. During one visit we stayed at Dreams Hotel in Cancun and took the shuttle to XCaret park – which was about 1.5 hours one way. Both experiences were great, but if you REALLY want to experience XCaret Parks, stay at the adjoining XCaret Hotels so that you can maximize your time in the parks. With all the activities – Mayan Village, River Swim, Aviary, beaches, jungle exploration, aquarium, ruins … you’ll need all the time you can get. Great food included with park admission. Super friendly service – NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!! Am A+ experience definitely worth the mo money. We’ll be back for years to come.
