All I can say it’s that my family and I had the best vacations thanks to Xcaret. All the food was just delicious, the activities were incredible and all the amazing staff there were so kind and helpful.

This park has everything from swimming down 3 rivers to watching all types of animals. So much to do and see. Best to go early as it does get crowded in the rivers and snorkelling reef. We took the photo package – great fun trying to take selfies. The restaurants get really busy after 12pm, you have to queue for a long time.

We had so much fun e stayed all day and still did not get to do everything that is offered. Definitely will go back and the show was so good. Highly recommend

This park was fantastic! We were there for a day the week after Christmas. We tried to buy tickets online the day before, but I think you need to do it more than a day in advance – also, this was cheaper than at the park or from one of the sales reps in Playa del Carmen. We got the Plus, which I think was a good deal. Anyways, it was a great day!
We started with the river float, which was good but really long… it seemed like there was no one there though! The signs said the water temp is 72deg, but it was definitely closer to probably 85, thankfully. Definitely wear water shoes and have a shirt or cover up for after the river. We put our phones in the waterproof cases we bought on Amazon, which was good – the pictures turned out good, and I was not about to spend $$$$ on their photo package.
The park is well signed and marked – there are different coloured sections, which are shown on the signs and along the paths – if you look at a map of the park, you will see this: black, red, green, blue, white, and brown I think. We did all of the water stuff first, and then changed in the late aft for dinner, and then did the white section. DO NOT miss the white section – it was BY FAR the coolest part of the park! I feel like we both rushed and took our time with the day, and there is a lot to see on the way to places, so it kinda hits 2 birds with 1 stone.
We stayed for the end show which was AMAZING – get there early, but eat beforehand for sure. The concessions near there are limited in their options, and super expensive – the slushie cup was almost 200 pesos! We took a taxi to the park from Playa del Carmen, so the second the show was done we speed-walked out to the main gates and grabbed a taxi home, which worked out really well.
With the Plus, you get a buffet lunch, and we ate at the seafood buffet on the peninsula by the ocean. The food was good, but my friend commented that there were FAR fewer options than a different buffet he’d eaten at the day before. Also, there were tons of seagulls that swarmed the tables the second you left food unattended.
In general, there were many employees who we found very friendly and helpful, and the park was extremely clean. It did not feel busy at all, despite the fact that you know there are a zillion people. I felt like we saw the vast majority of the park, so would not rush back anytime soon, but I can see how many people don’t get to see everything, especially if you were to participate in the experiences they offer for more money. I would definitely recommend that anyone check out this park if you are in the area – it is pricey but worth it.
