This park is much more chill and there are less activities than Xplor.
Actually it’s a tropical zoo, you travel in kind of a jungle with a lot of animals.
130usd for person with transportation, we suggest to get tickets without transportation (if you staying at the center of Playa) – it’s 20$ less , and order a taxi around 15$ each way and you can come/leave in your preferred time.
There are “plus” tickets with extra cost of 40$ each, you can upgrade at the place, it includes one buffet restaurant snorkel equipment and a locker
We didn’t take it. We rent the locker for 6$ and ordered at the restaurant food in 30$ and brought our own equipment for shnorkling (and the area is not very big for it anyway)
The park is excellent for families with kids.

If we have to choose only one park – for sure we’ll choose Xplor since it’s more suitable for us.

What a tourist trap. Boring and unclean. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. The smell of water and bathrooms was putrid. Water in river was filthy. Food was terrible and everything way way overpriced. Bus and reps

Loved it! Returned after our first visit 3 years ago to finish up what we did not see last time.

Fist, I drove since it is more convenient and cheaper that buying the bus package. Second, I booked direct, using the website. I was able to get 20% off by booking multiple activities, including meals, etc.

I purchased the plus package, it includes lockers, snorkel gear, buffet.

This year we opted for the dinner package for the nightly show. 7 course gourmet meal, plus 2 glasses of wine and one of sparkling. Great Service. Pricy, worth it, plus there is no other dinner service offered in the free section.

Overall, a wonderful park very well run. Only negative is the heat, extreme sun and expensive add ons. (in 2 visits we have not felt the need to buy add on activities, the third visit we will just stay at the Xcaret hotel).

Tips: Arrive early, skip the lobby since it is full, bring towels, change of clothes to change before show, a lot of sunblock and when doing the river, use the fins, a lot easier than just wearing water shoes. Pre buy a waterproof cell case, at park it is $35. Or bring go pro and skip photo package. Eat dinner or buy and brings snacks before the show, since no food is sold there.

Really fun day at Xcaret with lots of things to do and see. Depending on where you’re staying, the transportation can take a really long time. We were at the Riu Palace Peninsula and it took about 3 hours from pickup to drop off at the park. I feel like it’s a little pricey considering it costs more to get in here than Disneyland but we still really enjoyed it. I also highly recommend the photo package as it keeps you from hauling a camera or phone around. You just scan your bracelet and their cameras take your picture for you. This is especially helpful in the cenotes. I also recommend the included meal option as it would be a pain to plan for lunch . The meal we had wasn’t great but it beats snacking all day or paying high prices in the park.

We was staying at a resort very closer to all this beautiful places so arrive to xcaret take us just like 30 minutes, I can’t tell you how amazing and sentimental is the last show, the food and beverages was so good, we swing with dolphins for first time and everything was so good, xcaret we promise we come back to live all this beautiful experience again.
