The main park by Xcaret located right next to Xcaret hotels, Xplor park and Xenses park, you have to pay extra to do most of the activities just like Xelha park which so expensive. I put 4 stars just because all of the shows is amazing especially the last one at 7pm – 9pm other than that you can do all the activities at the other places too!

It was a great experience, however the communication piece can be better, we purchased the admission from our hotel and it was cheaper, its a plus.
However i would say if you are planning to do activities then bring some extra cash. The bus tour guide will make it seem like you cant take anything with you and you have to put everything in the locker, however yes you can take your money so you can buy water, chips and tip the capitan of the activities. I would suggest for you to take soap, conditioner and towels from your hotel so you can shower there.
Also take a waterproof cell phone pouch.

Turns out this place is magical and worth every penny. Where do I start?
There’s 3 tiers of tickets – standard, Plus, and Total. Standard gets you into the park and access to the activities, but I recommend at least paying the little bit extra for Plus. This gives you a private locker, private changing area/bathrooms and a full buffet (breakfast or lunch, your choice) included. It’s all you can eat and we even scored a few beers out of it. The last package is Total, which is basically the Plus ticket with one additional experience included. We bought these tickets and didn’t regret it. Your activity is a choise of 1 of 3 things – Adrenalina, a high speed boat that twists and turns in the water. Snuba which is basically snorkeling with an air tube attached so you can go several feet underwater but without all the scuba gear, or Sea Trek – which is putting on a helmet thing that pumps air in and allows you to walk on the bottom of the ocean. We chose Sea Trek and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Scary at first, because you’re inside this helmet but once you get used to it, it’s amazing. Super safe, you’re only about 20 feet down at most and there’s guides down there with you. Tons of fish, we got to touch and hang out with sting rays and other sea creatures.
But even without the Total tickets, the park itself is insane. The backside (green path) is a full blown beach with cabanas, bars, restaurants, snorkel gear for free, hammocks, etc. Anything you’d want for a beach day. Then within the park there’s an underground river that you can float, there’s a viewing tower, there’s animal exhibits of all kinds, an aviary, a butterfly area, a shark exhibit and can pay extra to swim with sharks, and a dolphin exhibit where you can do the same. We paid extra and bought a package to swim with dolphins. I’m 240 lbs and these things put their noses under my feet and lifted me out of the water. It was wild. We rode on their fins and took a bunch of photos and they had a video of it at the end. It’s just ridiculous the options within this park. We decided to not spare any expense and it did cost us for all of the experiences, but it’s something we may never do again so I thought it was worth it. If you have kids or a big family and don’t want to break the bank, you can experience this park for the price of admission and some snacks/drinks for much cheaper. At the end of the night, there’s a live cultural performance and it lasts 2 hours in the big arena area. One of the coolest shows I’ve ever seen. I honestly don’t know how this place could be cooler, don’t have kids (felt like one all day) but it’s perfect for kids as well. Part beach club, part zoo, part theater, part water park… You can’t ask for more in one day. Go here and do it. Period.

Positive things is the park is well kept, staff is very friendly, and many attractions are fun and entertaining. We had the paid the stingray experience which was good albeit not great.
I’d like for any guest to watch out for the following:
1) First and foremost, do NOT purchase paid activities at entrance. In our experience, the transport guide was very pushy and she even followed us to the box office —quite annoying— and pressured to purchase activities, which we actually did. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to purchase later in the park if you have the time and see it beforehand.
2) Watch for activities before paying them. You can see them as spectator and then decide. We paid for the stringray experience. In photos, it seems as you swim with them but in reality you do not — you do touch them but swimming is just in the pool and no stingrays nearby.
3) Photo shooting. This is a cool feature albeit not really sure it is worth it. We paid US$100 for 4 people. Pushy guide sold it was it you could take 100 or 500 photos with you, your choice. Realistically, we saw only about 20 cameras —most of them in the river— and took a total of 88 photos throughout the day, and most of them are weird photos where we are out of frame or with many people around it. We acquired it as they claim photographers were throughout the park but we saw NONE. Only at the paid stringray experience but that was expected.
4) Buffet — really bad. Be prepared to pay US$30 basically for carb loading — mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, burgers, hotdogs, totopos. There is a limited availability of healthy choices — mostly salads but no quality meats or variety of vegan options. If possible, a la carte options seemed a better fare albeit they are limited in space.
5) Purchased tickets — we booked online in the official site. I thought I had acquired the option with food included but it turned out I did not (i am still not sure about this but i eventually let it go). Their website is confusing and I’d suggest for you to call or confirm, or better get it from the concierge at your hotel.
6) River – river is fun but confusing. Guide was pushing all the party to rush there and get asap. Result is that they gave us large lifejackets that gave our children rash, we left in the locker things that we could have placed in the secured bag that can be collected at the end, and it was CROWDED. I really mean at points it was impossible to swim past people as many were stranded waiting to take photo shoots. Not sure if taking a later time would be better but definitely ask and keep it with calm.
