Xcaret is a nice, enjoyable and very pleasant park. The staff is very tentative, courteous and professional. I believe they went through great lengths to make each visitor have a great time and experience. There’s plenty of things to do, and most are included with the fee. The entrance fee is justifiable and worthy of the various spots you can visit. Most are easy access and more importantly color coded to further help you navigate through the maze of hidden treasure. It is certainly a destination you should not miss while vacationing in Cancun.

At the conclusion of your visit, they do a closing ceremony type of a show. It starts by chronologically going through the history of Mexico. How the indigenous people lived, their customs and beliefs. The introduction of Christianity through the conquest of the Aztec empire, then moving forward to all the various events throughout the years. Showcasing the many customs, traditions, music and apparel worn in each region.

It’s a great way to advance the country, it’s culture, customs and people.

We were fortunate enough to be staying next door at the Occidental resort and had taken up the option of unlimited park access during our stay. We visited on several occasions so had plenty of time to see and do everything that the park offers .. almost too much to list! In fact we wonder how a day visitor can do everything as there is so much there, highlights were the swim in the rivers and the evening spectacular. There is plenty for everyone of all ages.

The park it self is fabulous plenty to do and see.
Colour coded so easy to find your way around.
The experience is so good the river activities are really good.
The Show Spectacular is fantastic learning the history of Mexico.
Restaurants offer a great selection of food , staff are friendly and helpful.
You pay extra for Dolphins, Sharks and Sea Trek.
Dislikes.
Don’t like the way the animals are kept the enclosure for the Dolphins to small. Ex Hal had a much better enclosure for the Dolphins.
The Horse show the black horse had its tongue fully out of its mouth clearly distressed but even with the crowd making comments before the rider took the horse into the ring he still went in. Usually the mouth bit is to painful for the Horse or there is discomfort some where for the Horse. I also didn’t like the use of spurs which the riders wore with the horses.
I felt the animal enclosures were to small for some of the animals.
Although they were all kept clean with water access as well.
Recommend
I think the park would benefit with phone charging in restaurants as when it came to the evening show after being there all day our phones were nearly out of charge, as taken so many photos around the park.
Also was not happy with the charges for photos they go up depending on how many in your group. There are no options of just purchasing one photo of and experience you already paid to do.
Like we wanted just one photo of the our experience with the sharks.
Felt disappointed with not being able to go just purchase one photo. Ex Hal we were able to purchase just one photo of our dolphin experience.

Restaurant “La COCINA ” was amazing food 100% authentic Mexican so delicious and Hernan our waiter super kind and helpful.
Definitely the best meal in Cancun
