This is such a wonderful park with varied areas of interest. There is a lot of walking to do, and staying for the “Expectacular” is so important. Excellent production.

I went with my son who is a college junior. We purchased the Xcaret Plus package through Expedia, but I bought the package through my resort’s Expedia agent and saved $100.
This park is phenomenal. We paid for some add on items at the gate-the Sea walk, shark interaction, photo package, and DINNER WITH the evening show. I know went spent some money, but the extras were truly worthwhile.
The underground river, aviary, butterflies, animals-all outstanding. I definitely recommend the Mexican restaurant right inside the park entrance. It was all phenomenal.
Truly, go. You will miss out if you don’t.

Our family blew it by not arriving until around 3 pm because we are traveling with a young child. There is so much to see!! It’s stunning how the park is enveloped in the forest. There was a wonder around every corner. We will certainly go back to see all that the park has to offer! My only critique is that it saddens me to see large wild animals in small confines. I hope that the era of swimming with dolphins and jaguars pacing on small patches of land will come to an end some day. I am confident that grupo Xcaret can come up with an amazing idea to incorporate wild animal encounters while maintaining their dignity.

We did it all. The park was very crowded. You could hardly move in the floating river and the snorkling was kind of a joke but otherwise the park was very nice. We ate at a buffet and the food was good. We loved the aviary and the beach section was beautiful with great views. The turtle exhibit was very well done. They should let the nurse sharks go back to their homes. That exhibit was sad. it always makes me feel sad about the captivity of the dolphins. The Mexico Espectacular was spectacular! Great show and worth the wait after a long (20,000 steps!) day.

Words are not enough to explain the love we have for this place. It is the most magical ecopark we have EVER been to. We spent 8 hours there and only seen about 60% of it. We’re going back to explore the rest of it in a couple days. If you’re ever in the Riviera Maya you have to go experience this extraordinary ecopark for yourself. Crystal clear cenotes, natural salt water underground rivers & pools, an archaeological site (with climbable ruins), a tropical jungle trail river cruise, a maze of secret caves to take you to a Mayan Village, a breathtaking spiral cemetery, Children’s World (with cenotes, waterfalls, slides, tunnels, hanging bridges, climbing nets, obstacles and labyrinths surrounded by nature), a coral reef aquarium, a butterfly pavilion, an aviary (one of my favourite places in the park with 1,500 birds!) a ton of workshops and the evening spectacular show with 300 artists, jaguar and monkey island, horse exhibition, snorkeling & swim with sea turtles, dolphins, stingrays, museums, I could go on and on and on. The owner/architect of this park made it feel like you’re lost in the middle of the jungle, discovering your own little piece of heaven.
Tips: Get a map at the front. Follow the colour codes to get to each activity, the Kabul stone pathways are colour-coded.
We arrived at noon on a Friday in January and got a front row parking. We did the land/dry activities first (until 4pm), then spent time at Children’s World and swam the cenotes, then swam the river, dinner at the buffet by the entrance to watch the horse show at 6pm and arrived at 6:40 to the main show which started at 7pm but was very full already. So get there early to get lower seats or pay to get reserved seats.
You need to bring towels. You don’t need life jackets. They have infant all the way to XXXL. Pay $6 for a locker with a $10 deposit.
I took several Photos with my cell phone. I didn’t care for the bracelet photos, they were underexposed. It cost $100 for the photo package for family of 4.
When you leave they give you a 50% off
Coupon to return within 6 days.
You must print your prepaid online tickets BEFORE you arrive at the gate.
The evening show is not air conditioned. It’s hot, no need to dress up.
