If you love the crowds at DisneyLand and the prices, this place may be for you. I think this place may have been really great at one point, but it was awful. Trying to navigate down the under ground river with hundreds of people yelling and screaming. Bumping shoulders with hundreds of people snorkling. And the disjointed show at the end was just weird. Kind of like the Polynesian Culture center in Hawaii, but with a lot less of a coherent story. Lots of weird jumps. Kind of a concert, kind of a show, but fails at both.

It was a lovely day in the park. Don’t know if it is usual, but the park was not too much crowded even it was Saturday. You can buy optional attractions like adrenaline (speed boat), Swim with dolphins, seatrack and others. Since speed boats were not available due to the weather we took the seatrack with stingrays. Honestly, we didn’t enjoy, my girlfriend quit track on very beginning same as some 4-5 other persons from the group, because just felt scared from surrounding, heavy equipment and pressure in ears. Actually could see that kids coming out from water were very happy, but faces for 50% of adults were oposite 🙂 It was a bit cold down there and water was not so clear as in photos… however, it is my personal opinion.
Also a recomendation not to book too many optional attractions if you stay only one day there, optimal could be 2 to enjoy the rest of the park.
Night show was amazing, nothing to add.
Definitely place to see when around.

The xcaret park was wonderful for my parents siblings and our kids, the tubing was lots of fun for all of us, combined with the Chichen Itza tour really gave some flavor to the trip

This park is well known all over Mexico and even my friend who lives in Mexico city recommended the night show at this park.

The entrance is expensive for one time visitors but I would still recommend it for the wildlife and the grand show in evening. We swam the entire underground river, relaxed near the beach, enjoyed the bird park, marveled at the beautiful jaguars/pumas and watched a spectacular 2 hour show in the evening.

Tip: Go to the big hall for the evening show early to get the best seats. The show starts at 1900 and the hall starts to fill up from 1800.

Giving it 4 stars because besides the expensive ticket, you have to pay extra for most of the activities inside the park. Still, a must see attraction in Yucatan peninsula.
