We booked directly with Xcaret on their website as their price was better than what our resort was offering. It came with entrance to the park, transportation, one meal of choice and a locker bag for when we did the underwater tunnel.

We started our journey at Xcaret with the underwater tunnel. There are different trails and it’s luck of the draw on which one they put you on. They try to social distance everyone so they will direct which path they want you to take. It was very fun for the most part until we got halfway where there was no longer a current flowing. We eventually made it to a part where the current was going against us which was a little past the halfway point. We literally had the swim the other half and there was no way to get around not swimming it. They do have entry parts to get out of the water way but we figured our stuff was waiting at the end, so we just swam it. When we weren’t swimming through the underwater tunnel, there are parts where fishes are swimming in the water with you. there are tunnels and it is dark. They have a rope on the side during these parts that you can hold onto to help you along. I really wished they would’ve had this rope where you had to swim against the current. Would’ve made it a lot easier to get through.

It was a breeze to get our life jackets and lock up our belongings and it’s the same for when you go to get your belongings. They do have a shower at the end where you can rinse off.

We did the buffet close to the end of the underwater tunnel and the food was pretty good. It was definitely better than what we had at our resort.

The grounds is massive. There are painted tracks to identify where things are but we did find it hard to navigate to get to where we wanted to go. Maybe it was because it we are ladies, maybe it was just that difficult.

The manatees were cool but their pool was rather small. We finally made it to snorkeling and you do have to put down a deposit to get a locker that you get back when you return the key. The area was filled with tons of people and the marine life there was very minimal and they clung to the edges. If you’re short on time, I would say skip this part. There were so many people everywhere and the area isn’t that big to begin with that it was a big let down. They do have different turtle pools by here that you can look and they had some amazing big turtles here.

The butterfly exhibit was pretty cool. You literally can have the butterflies land on your hands if you’re careful enough. The ruins were pretty but there was so many people it was hard to get good pictures. We did briefly check out the cemetery which was beautiful too.

By this time my party was pooped out so we headed back. There are showers and changing areas back where you enter the underground water tunnels.

It rained shortly afterwards so we did a little shopping and decided to head back to our resort early instead of catching the shows at the end.

Do your research. I thought I looked through the property enough but when I got there it was overwhelming and looking back, it seemed like we only did half of what was there. It was cool to see and do but I don’t think it was worth the price we paid. I almost wish we would’ve picked a different excursion to go to.

Definitely do the picture package. We didn’t think we needed it at first as I had my waterproof case with me but as we went through the property we wished we would’ve opted for it. We could’ve gotten beautiful pictures with the entire group instead of taking turns taking pictures of each other.

They served uncooked chicken in my daughter nachos at the beach snack bar, she finished almost all the nachos when she discoveres she was chewing on a raw piece of chicken l, spent 3 hours here with slow service and figuring out how the uncooked chicken Got in her nachos then went to the nurses station to get her checked out another hour spent there. I was in xcaret last year and loved it, the park is beautiful and this time I brought more family and it was a disaster. We finally left that area to try to rush and see the rest of the park. We didn’t nearly see half of what they have to offer. We got to eat at their buffet La Laguna(we got there after 5pm Rushing to eat since they close at 5:30) skeptical to eat because of the previous incident. I was at the sushi bar and was asking the attendant for california rolls, she couldn’t hear me so slightly put my mask down and she kept say to fix my mask but she couldn’t hear me.. I left there to get something else to eat, sat down to eat and here comes the restaurant manager to talk to me about putting my mask on, at this point I was over the top frustrated with this entire place, I did not allow her to come and tell me anything about a stupid mask, when everyone in the park is walking around without a mask. I politely stopped her and told her to leave my table and quickly let her in on the previous incident. A few days later I received a call from customer service manager to check on my daughter and he offered free admission to see the park since we wasted half our day at their beach. He was nice but another day taken out of our vacation when we already had our days planned. I would not be returning to Xcaret.

It’s more of a zoo than anything else.
For most attractions you have to pay even with the premium plus package.
In general very expensive and not worth the money.

We were lost a lot 🤦🏼‍♀️. We wanted to do the river and we end up going to the end 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😂😂😂.

So it’s number 6. It takes about an hour. I didn’t look at my watch but it’s long. Very cool. You put your bags in a huge bag that they lock and they bring it to the end for you.

A lot of stations for pictures. ☺️☺️☺️

We like the butterfly pavillon. The birds too.

But we loved the children’s world 😱😱😱😱😱😱 even me 😂😂😂😂😂 doing to white arrow walk and my boys passed 2 hours there.

They have a lot of pay activities

    Food is ok 😃😃😃😃.

    Really fun first time.

    The night show is amazing.
