I recommend bringing a waterproof case for your phones and water shoes. Pickup was on time, quick and easy with wristbands being issued at checkin. Our travel guild explained the park on the way there. Once there he brought us to a map, explained the park and provided tips of what order to do thing in based on park activity. We started by getting a locker and then off to the Mayan underground river. We placed items in a dry bag that we wanted on the other side of the park where you get out of the river (a work of caution is your carrying everything you put in the bag until you walk back across the park to the lockers *air dry and forget the towels*). Life jacket and fins and then off to the river (best experience in the park). Once done we headed to snorkeling, after getting the equipment we headed in the water – the only good fish to see were in the cove under the bridge. After snorkeling we walked through the different areas, we only went to the chocolate making and tasting show which was really interesting. We ate at the Mexican buffet near the entrance which was excellent. We picked up our locker belongings at about 6:00 and headed to the show that is by far worth seeing. Then off to the bus to return to the hotel.

It was written much about this place, so i just want to say, that it’s really amazing. The only advice i can give is to watch the map of the park before the visit. Think about what you want to see and take part in – nature beauties and activities (river boat, undeground river, snorkeling) or learn about history and traditions (village of maya, different shows). Cause one day is too short for all. And take only Plus ticket. The evening show is absolutely breathtaking!

We visited Xcaret 21st Oct 2021
This was my 2nd visit and the last.
The park is very nice but the dolphins and other animals need to be released as the pens are way too small for them and they just pace up and down all the time.

I had never heard of the place, nobody has, hat I’ve talked to. It was like Disneyland Jungle ride only real, loved everything about it. Spent a week next door at Occidental Xcaret Experience with unlimited pass,(Costco) I when everyday it is truly amazing. I recommend it to all my friends and none have been disappointed!

The tour guide LUIS was SO rude!!
Would only recommend this experience if you have a different tour guide. We weren’t on the list for transport from our hotel, and he didn’t help us figure out why at all. He kept snarling every time we came up to him. He even was irritated with the our tour expert from our hotel. If you don’t like your job, don’t work there 😓
