This was our second trip here and it was even better than before. We visited without child 5 years ago and it was wonderful to return with our son who loved every minute of it. We still didn’t get to see everything and it is just so big and there is so much to do and that is without booking any of the additional experiences! I am sure we will be back again! Highlights for me are the wildlife and the beautiful views at the beach/bay areas. The food is excellent as well. If you are short on time skip the lazy river or just do sections of it, it is far too long with a young one especially and really not much to see that you don’t get in the first or last sections. We skipped the show this time as saw it before and the day would be too long for a 5 year old. Can’t wait to go again!

We had a good time at this park. It’s a very long day if you’re staying for the show at the end.
There’s two pick up times. One in the afternoon at 4:45 if you’re not wanting to stay for the show and the last pick up is 9:45 after the show finishes. The guides reiterate this when you get off and just before you leave. It’s also on the back of the leaflet you receive.
Plenty of things to see and do. Lots of wildlife. The macaws are amazing!
Be prepared for a lot of walking.
They tell you to get changed and head to the mouth of the river swim. However I’d say go do the dry activities first and head back to the river later in the day as there was too many people in the river and it was really cramped and noisy whereas later in the day it’s a lot quieter.
You can swim with sharks, dolphins and sting rays at an additional cost. Im sure the animals are looked after very well but it was sad to see them in captivity.
The snorkelling part of the park was a big let down for us. The area is very small for people to snorkel and it was extremely busy so there wasn’t any room to swim about without bumping into one another.
If you want a better snorkelling experience we would recommend Xel Ha over Xcaret.
On the day we visited two of the restaurants we went to eat at were closed which was a disappointment. We ended up eating at the Mexican restaurant but it was crammed full and so we were asked if we could share a table with a couple of strangers. It was ok but very awkward so didn’t really enjoy the experience. Food was good though. You only get one meal a day and everything else was at an extra cost which was a bit of a downer as we have visited Xel Ha and we got breakfast and lunch and drinks were available to get at designated areas. Considering how much entry is I’d of expected it to be included.
Lots of beautiful animals to see around this park. It is very interesting to walk around. Plenty to see and do.
We stayed for the show at the end and it was good but not as spectacular as the guides had made it out to be. overall a really long day.

It is a long day but well worth it. I felt our entrance fee was costly but it included a buffet dinner and a snorkel mask. Biggest disappointment is to enter the park after paying $130.00 USA only to learn that additional activities such as swimming with dolphins, or going on a speed boat is all at an extra cost of around $65.00 per person. IF one person wanted to do everything available, it would cost them around a $1,000. per person! That’s worse than Disney World expenses. Granted, it is an entirely different experience than Disney, and it is something everyone should do and see at least once in their lifetime, BUT, considering this park is in a Peso economy, and its very busy and always has patrons, a family of four beware, especially when the kids have so many choices to do one extra thing, but then realize they want to do it all, so select very carefully. We did the park in a strategic manner by first studying the map and then picking out the things we really wanted to see (Big Cat Habitat area!) and we ate dinner before showtimes and made sure we saw everything that was included in our package. One of our group did pay extra to do the speed boat adventure but for $65.00 extra it was hardly worth the 1/2 hour ride.

So wonderful to visit this theme park, full of animals, mayan shows, you can swim in the underground rivers and have a blast, the food was very good too, The show at the end is simply spectacular, full of history and traditional mexican music, lots of singers and dancers, very moving even if you don´t know much about the culture.
We do need to come back because the park is huge so we didn´t get to see everything which makes us look forward to do it again .)

This place was SO much fun, we did not want to leave. And on top of all the fun, it came with UNLIMITED food and 2 free drinks. Highly recommend
