The transportation provided had us packed into a van and was very uncomfortable. The boat was loaded to the max with people sitting shoulder to shoulder. A few people had to sit on the front of the boat and were splashed by waves. The poor girl ended up with a wave of ocean water in her food. The snorkeling was not off-shore and was out in the choppy water. The only thing to see was some brown coral at the bottom. I don’t believe there was any alcohol on the boat besides the warm beer. My drink order was taken several times but no one would return with my drink. I was finally told they didn’t have any whiskey/bourbon. The pina colada’s had no alcohol in them. I was expecting the Island to be a tropical paradise but instead it was the Mexican residents selling their items to tourists. One of them was offering T-Shirts for 3 for $100. It cost close to $400 for the 4 of us. Would not go again.

My boyfriend and I, along with another couple from our hotel booked this tour through the rep in our hotel. It was recommended to us by other guests from our hotel who had gone the day before.

It was a short trip to the docks, where at first, it seemed like chaos with so many people everywhere, however, after checking in and receiving our bracelets we were greeted by our guide Terry. He gave us the instructions, and we had to apply sunscreen before we got onto the boat. Cancun Adventures had quite a few Catamarans lined up, which explains the amount of people there.

After signing in, we boarded the catamaran(Number 6), and we were asked to be on the front, which was rather odd, and many people questioned it, and the response was for the safety information. Once everyone was onboard, we were off. Our guide Terry then began with the safety information. There were people who spoke English and Spanish on the boat, and it was a real treat to see how the guide changed between the 2 languages with such easy. The briefing was a bit long to start the tour off with, but the guide was very thorough with the safety instructions, and he made it evident that safety was the main priority.

We did some snorkeling, it was a great experience for us, as it was our first time. We saw some coral, and some fish, alot of fish. We also saw a school of barracudas come passed us. We also got to see some really cool statues under the water too.

After about 20 min, we were back on the boat and off to the island. Lunch was served, and the crew was always on hand to get you another drink. We stopped by the North Beach (they say its number 7 in the world) to do some swimming and paddle boarding. The water was crystal clear turquoise!

We then docked on the island. Terry gave us the time to be back, and some handy advice for our time on the island. We opted to go to the north beach with a large part of our group. Terry guided us to the best part of the north beach, and along the way, he pointed out the main shopping avenues, and where the fleamarket was. He also pointed out some large iguanas hanging out on a fenced off empty lot. When we arrived at the North Beach, Terry gave us another briefing, explaining the rules of the beaches and all the beachclubs. He also explained the easiest way to get back to the dock, which was really appreciated.

The North beach was really amazing, and the water is a dream. I do feel that number 7 in the world might be a stretch, but I double checked it with TripAdvisor, and it was correct. We got to spend about 2 and a half hours on the island, and it simply is not enough time to take in all the magic. When we arrived back at the dock, Terry was there to show us the waiting area, and told us to wait for him to let us know when we could start boarding.

Going back, the crew raised the sail, and kept the drinks flowing. The service from the crew was of top class. I really can not rant enough about how attentive they are, both on the boat, and while on the island.

I Highly recommend Cancun Adventures after this experience, the staff that they employ are amazing. Worth every penny.

A big thank you to Terry and his Crew: Franky, Enrique, Captain Custodio and the Chef. (Sorry, I forgot his name)

Arturo and the crew on catamaran #3 were awesome! It was a fantastic day snorkeling and then exploring the island! I’d recommend it highly and Arturo personally! It was our best day of the vacation! We will do another adventure with them again!

This tour was recommended by our Amstar rep Hugo & he was so right! My sister & loved it! The snorkeling was amazing, we were even lucky enough to see a sting ray. Our guide Geoffrey & the crew were terrific! They made every moment fun and our drinks were never empty. Lunch was delicious! The ride was fun on the way out & beautiful watching the sun set as we sailed back in! If given the chance, we’ll definitely be back!

My sister and I recently visited Cancun. During our stay, we went on a catamaran cruise to Isla Mujeres, which we booked through Cancun Adventures. It was such a great experience. In total, the trip lasted from about 1:30pm to 8:00pm and included transportation from our resort to the catamaran, a cruise from the port in Cancun to Isla Mujeres, which included an open bar, a really nice lunch, and the opportunity to get off the catamaran and swim a little ways off the shore of Isla Mujeres, a few hours on the island itself, and a cruise back from the island to Cancun during sunset. The entire catamaran crew – including Arturo, our main tour guide, Ernesto, our bar tender, the chef, and the photographer – was awesome. They were so much fun and the service was top notch. In addition, Isla Mujeres was absolutely beautiful. We rented a golf cart when we got there and drove around the island for an hour or so. There is an abundance of restaurants, bars, and shops on the island as well as a public beach. My sister and I both highly recommend this excursion!!
