Our tour guide Alex and his crew made this trip better than I expected. They were funny, knowledgable, outgoing and more! Alex took the time to help me with my first snorkeling trip while the other crew members were there to help anytime too. My drink never became empty and the smile never stopped. Alex was able to help us navigate around the island telling you what to avoid and do. I have never had so much fun on a boat in beautiful water like I did with this trip. HIGHLY recommend, I will for sure be back!

Such a wonderful trip to isla mujeres! Our tour guide Bryan was fantastic, he was fun and knowledgeable! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience from the catamaran to the snorkeling and the tour of the island

Just returned from a wonderful holiday to Mexico. Paid over $110 (USD) each for this excursion but overall disappointed with it. We went on the morning excursion which picked you up from the hotel at approx 7:30am then transferred you to the port in Cancun where you board one of many catamarans (there are multiple catamarans leaving at the same time). There are approx 25-30 people on board. The drinks are free flowing and the crew are great. However, the ‘gourmet’ lunch which is provided was served at 9am which is a bit too early (Cheese sandwich, with some pasta & chicken and nachos). Approximately half way to the island, you stop for a 20 min snorkel and the just before docking at the island there is a further 20 mins stop for a swim around the catamaran. I felt that this was far too short and got the impression it was just to kill some time to allow the many catamarans to dock. You then spend approx 3 hours on the north side of the beautiful Islas Mujures. There is plenty to see and do on the island including visiting the beach, having a massage, shopping or eating at the many restaurants. I felt a little rushed because 3 hours isn’t long enough to really appreciate it. You then get back onto the catamaran and back to Cancun.

I would definitely recommend a visit to Islas Mujures, however unless you want endless alcoholic drinks, it is probably better to get a taxi from your hotel to the ferry port and take the passenger ferry across. A taxi from Riveria Maya costs approx $50 (USD) and the ferry costs approx $15 (USD) return. You can then spend as much time as you like on the island and snorkel/swim as long as you like. The island is only 4 miles long, so you could also hire a buggy and explore the whole island – something I would do if I return.

Ruben was fantastic. I had an issue with my snorkel that I had brought from home and Ruben stuck close by to ensure that I would have a safe swim from dropoff to pickup location. Nastyia chose some amazing angles and timings for photos of my wife and I that we will cherish forever.

Went to Cancun for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday – what an incredible experience! The crew on Boat 6 made the adventure one we wouldn’t forget. My sister has a gluten allergy, and upon boarding, you sign a waiver which also asks about any medical concerns the crew should be aware of. Being on many of these tours before, generally these things are overlooked and not taken serious. Boat 6 not only made a separate meal for her, they served it first and made sure she was aware of the ingredients. On top of this, the meal wasn’t your normal sandwich in a paper bag – we had blackened chicken with pasta in a delicious cream sauce, fresh fruit, cheesecake, chips and fresh guac, and some of the best ceviche I’ve ever had. Now the drink service – WOW. The skills these guys have at not only making amazing tasting drinks, but carrying 12+ open cups, on a bouncing boat, to the front and handing them out without dropping a single one! Your drink is half empty? Someone was right behind you asking if you’d like another one – with a smile! Boat 6 truly enjoys their jobs and their attitude shows it. Knowledgeable, friendly, fun, hilarious – can’t thank them enough for an awesome time. Highly recommend!
