After booking an excursion with a competitor that did not go well, I really came to appreciate the attention to detail and the caring staff of Cancun Adventures. This excursion was very well organized, all the information needed was given in advance, and the staff bent over backwards to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time.
The lunch was great, and the drinks were good too. The water was a bit choppy when we went, but that’s to be expected! I skipped the snorkeling part of the excursion, which meant more time on the lovely Catamaran.
Once we got to Isla Mujeres we had two hours to explore the island. We really just wanted to walk around, check out the places off the beaten path, and walk along the beach, so we had more than enough time to get all that done.
Back on board, we were offered more drinks if we wanted them, they certainly didn’t skimp on that! The crew was friendly and open to chatting when they had a little time from their duties. Really nice, friendly people, they are the stars of the show for sure!
When we got back to the pier, they were very helpful in getting everyone off quickly, and to the restrooms before our bus rides back to our resort. I was grateful that our bus driver recognized us and called us over, and did his best to get us back to our resort as quickly and safely as possible. We were staying in Playa Del Carmen, so these tours add another 90-120 minutes on each end to pick everyone up/drop off.
Considering the logistics involved, this company does an excellent job! I wish I had found them before I had booked my other tour with a different company; the experience was exactly the opposite. I will return to Cancun; it’s a great vacation at a great price. Next time, Cancun Adventures will get all of my business, they were that awesome!

Our tour was led by Terry from NZ, who did a great job of explaining everything. He was informative and entertaining. In fact the entire staff was excellent. We went on a rainy day that could have been a bummer, but the crew worked hard to engage us, and when the subn finally came out, all was great. The only negative is that the snorkeling part was a little dull. The reef is not vibrant, the dive only 20 minutes, the fish just OK. But we had a blast and would do it again, with Terry and crew if possible.

Ivan was a great tour guide for our excursion to Isla Mujeres! Highly recommend going. Boat number 3 is the one to go with!

Our tour was on Jan 4, 2020. It was on a beautiful yacht with pickup directly from our hotel. Timing was spot on and the tour started right around 9:00AM. The yacht is NICE, but I wouldn’t consider it “luxury” by any stretch of the term. We enjoyed a short ride out to the ocean where we snorkeled for about 25 minutes. The yacht circles around while everyone snorkels, picks up the group, and transports everyone to the island with a short stop to swim off the boat. The snorkeling was ok. The water is clear and you can see coral and some fish and there’s a spot they swim to that has several statues placed there specifically for the snorkeling. After snorkeling they begin to serve alcoholic beverages and lunch. Both were sufficient, although I only had the beer.
It may have been due to the rough waters that day, but it was a little disappointing that we couldn’t paddleboard like we thought we could. The Islas Mujeres Island is a beautiful island but the appeal is lessened by so many locals trying to sell massages, go cart rentals, local goods, etc. It’s overwhelming, actually. We found a bar close to the water and had some drinks before doing some swimming. About 2 hours later, you meet back at the yacht for a 30-minute ride back to Cancun. Overall it was a good trip and worth the $ we spent for the tour. I would recommend this trip with just the several cautions that I mentioned.

The crew were awesome, tending to everyone and I liked the food boxes they gave us, had lots of variety. For the snorkeling, there are not many colorful fish left but no ones fault. Unfortunately it rained once we got to the island so not much exploring possible and we stayed inside the yacht on the way back. Would still go again
