We had a great time yesterday on the AVT tour with our six and eight-year-old daughters. Great customer service, yummy pork tacos at the end, it was so fun on the four wheeler’s and we loved the zip lining. Thanks!

My girlfriend and I went on this tour together. Overall it was fun, but we felt the tour was lacking in a lot of areas. If you’ve done zip lining before you won’t be impressed with these ones. It was fun but not very long or scenic and we only got to do three of them.
The ATV part was the worst, but it’s more because of the group we were with than anything else. You have to follow in a single file line and the other people we were riding with were obviously first time riders. We would ride for maybe 10 seconds, stop because someone was stuck or just taking forever, then go for another ten seconds. We accomplished maybe 5-10 minutes of riding in 30 minutes. And that’s all the ATVing we did. Would have liked to do it for longer and with a more experienced group. Maybe do one group for beginners and one for intermediate.
After this there was a tequila tasting. You get three different types of blue agave tequila and four flavored liquors. They were very good, but of course overpriced. We got to wear sombreros though, which was mucho authentico.
The cenote was the best part, it was very beautiful and fun to swim around in. There is a cliff to jump off and a little zip line you can jump into the water from. We were there for about 30 minutes.
After this we ate tacos. Definitely get the pork tacos. They are good but basic. The people making them need to add onion, cilantro, and lime to make them better. There was chopped onion on the tables but who knows how long it was sitting out in the open and in the middle of a pandemic.
Overall, we had fun but definitely would have chosen something else if we could go back.

No safety measures, I got hit pretty bad on the second zipline after the guy who was supposed to catch me wasn’t ready for it in time.
No fallback for this scenario as well, I simply smashed into the wood station, got bruised in both legs pretty badly, couldn’t walk after.
& they tried to blame it on me as well. Even though I heard the guys yelling at each other for sending me too early after the previous person (speak little Spanish, they were not aware of it though).
I do not recommend at all.

Overall I would recommend this tour. The shuttle driver was great picked up at the exact time stated. We only had two other stops to pick up the groups. Upon arrival the we waited to receive instructions and be split into groups. The arrival was a little unorganized as we go no instructions on what needed to be done, we were just waiting around trying to figure what wee needed to do. Eventually we received instructions about the day. Once in groups we started the tour with a tequila tasting. I will say they were cautious on the sample size just a small sip to try it. The speaker was knowledgeable but depending on the group your in you may not get to hear the information. My group has some very loud individuals that talked throughout the presentation. The Cenote swim was fun. The instructors did focus on safety recommending do not jump or zip line in the water if you’re not comfortable with it. The time was SHORT at the water but good. The zip line was okay as an activity. The lines are simple not as intense as some of my other experiences. The ATV was fun just hitting the mud holes (you will get muddy). As the reviews I read before the tour which were helpful, if there are people in your group that can’t drive and always getting stuck it slows everything down and lessens the amount of fun. I would recommend they get some new tires for the ATVs b/c part of the reason people were getting stuck including the staff is due to the tires being slick , no tread. Of course we had poor drivers in the group.
After the events, you will get two tacos and water which was great but if your hungry, you will want more. They attempt to sell you photos since it’s best not to have your phone during some of the tour. I think you can have your phone during the Cenote but avoid it for the other events. The picture deal is buy all or nothing. Individual pictures are so high priced that you might as well buy all of them if your prefer.
For the price of this tour it’s worth the value. It’s pretty much what I expected and I would do it again! Great job to Henry as our guide!

The Tequila tasting and the ATV was the highlight of the tour. Juan was a wonderful, attentive, and charismatic.
