This was so much fun and I highly recommend booking this if you are in Cancun. For a small price, you get transportation, a tour-guided tour of Chichen Itza, Cenote swimming hole, a beautiful lunch and shopping trip at the square. Martin, Pastor and Abraham were wonderful for the whole trip! Please please please make sure you book this while in Mexico! You wont regret it. This was definitely my favorite part of the whole trip.

Had an incredible time on this tour! Came in with limited expectations and was really impressed by the depth of knowledge and history of Chichen Itza as well as the clear passion for sharing about this wonder of the world. The cenote was beautiful and the water was incredibly refreshing after a warm day. For the braver, you can jump in from the platform. At the cenote, they provide an all you can eat buffet that was delicious and full of options (you can also purchase drinks – would recommend the mango marg). To end off the trip we visited a local city close to the cenote, where there was a free tequila tasting and places to buy silver if that’s your thing. The vanilla bean tequila was *chefs kiss*. Our tour guides MartÃn, Pastor, and Abraham were incredibly friendly, easygoing, and a lot of fun.
Overall, quite the enjoyable tour and day. We were in Cancun during a rainy stay but the weather cleared up for the tour and it was great. Note: if you are staying at the Moon Palace, pick up was at the Grand lobby and initially we thought we were late and had somehow missed the shuttle but the shuttle was actually running late and we were able to call the company to confirm that.

Tino and Ray were outstanding guides. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the history of the ruins, and made the tour very enjoyable. The cenote was very refreshing, and lunch there was good, and who doesn’t like visiting a town where you get a tequila tasting. Tips for going..BRING A MASK. You literally only need it for 2 seconds when entering Chichen Itza…conveniently they wont tell you need one , but there are people everywhere with stacks of masks for $1. Also before you get off the bus they will give you a card to fill out your name and DOB, and they will make it into a mayan birth certificate. Im pretty sure they told everyone to hand the card in and if you wanted the birth certificate to pay the guides when we arrived. We didnt plan to buy one, and neither did the people behind us or ti the side of us, but when we finished the tour of the ruins they brought the birth certificates and requested payment from all of us. We werent forced to buy them, but to avoid the confrontation if you dont want one just dont fill out thr card. Im 96% sure they didnt mention only filling out the card if you wanted one but I could be wrong. Other then those two things our day was amazing.

Best way to think of this tour is $60 USDpp for a round trip bus ride and tour guide. You have to pay admission to the site, 150 pesos for a locker and two life jackets, and drinks at the restaurant are expensive and not included. Food was really good. Our tour guides Rey and Ruth were great! They knew the history really well and had a good sense of humor. Water bottles were available throughout the duration of the tour which was nice on a hot humid summer day. Wish we had more time in each place. Could not explore all ot Chichen Itza in 1 hour of free time but saw main attractions. We only have 24 minutes in Valladolid which was waay too short to experience the city, shop etc. Solid experience, just know youre gonna have to pay for a lot of other stuff.
